SYNOPSIS

Lena and Bianca finally talk, but all either can do is apologize to each other and part

RE-CAPS:

From The Official Site at ABC.com:
http://abc.go.com/daytime/allmychildren/episodes/2003-04/20030911.html

Bianca agrees to see Lena but doesn't tell her about the pregnancy.

From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/cs/recaps/a/bl20030911r_3.htm

Bianca and Maggie go back to the penthouse to find a floral delivery, and Maggie jokingly asks if someone’s kissing up to her mom again? Bianca says no, and sighs that today was so silly and fun and wonderful that she let herself forget—she’s such an idiot! Maggie asks what’s wrong? Bianca just hands her the card that came with the flowers.

Bianca hangs up the phone with a sigh, and looks in the mirror to see if she’s showing. She asks if she looks different, if she’s showing, but Maggie only agrees she looks a little older. Bianca suggests a little more scared and worried. Maggie doesn’t think she’s ready for this, but Bianca knows there will never be a right time—she doesn’t want to hurt her any more. Maggie argues that Bianca needs to stop worrying about everyone else, and offers to go tell her that she changed her mind. Bianca says no; she hates doing this to her, and hates all of this! Sometimes she doesn’t even feel like herself anymore! When the doorbell rings, Maggie says she’ll go hang out in the bedroom. Bianca thanks her and opens the door to Lena.

Lena thanks Bianca for seeing her, and Bianca says the flowers are beautiful. Lena shyly says everything beautiful reminds her of Bianca, but quickly apologizes, thinking it was the wrong thing to say. When Bianca tells her there’s no right thing to say right now, Lena says that just being with her is enough. Bianca can’t, and Lena knows she reminds her of that horrible night, and can’t look at her without seeing him, but maybe one day… She asks Bianca to tell her what she can do, but Bianca doesn’t know—there’s so much to think about now, and so many decisions to be made. Lena would love to talk them through, to listen and help her in any way she can, and pleads with Bianca to confide in her. Bianca agrees she wants to, and Lena insists she can! Doesn’t she remember that there’s nothing she can’t tell her? They can survive anything as long as they’re together! Bianca’s sorry—she wants to, but she can’t. Lena says it’s all right, all that matters to her is that she has someone to talk to, her mother or her uncle, and that she can open up with them whenever she needs. She knows it may take her a very long time to forgive her for what she did, and that she can’t turn to her right now, and she’s done some terrible things, “Things I never thought I was capable of.” Bianca doesn’t want to dwell on the past, saying they both need to try to look ahead now. Lena thanks god the worst of it is over for her now, and asks if there’s anything she can do? Bianca doesn’t think so, but appreciates this, and is sorry she’s still such a mess. Lena thinks she’s a miracle, and admits she’s been yearning to be here. She’s so sorry for what she did, and will never stop loving her or needing her.

Bianca tells Maggie Lena was so tender and concerned for her; Lena really loves her, but she still couldn’t confide in her, “Shouldn’t I need her now more than ever? Why did I send her away, why didn’t I let her hold me?” Maggie thinks it isn’t real to her yet, but Bianca says it’s too real! She’s pregnant—what is she going to do about this? Maggie hugs her and promises they’re going to figure it out.

Lena parts are indicated in red for those who only want a Lena fix

TODAY ON ALL MY EMOTIVE CHILDREN (brought to you by Susan, who is replacing CK for the day)

  • David and Anna are finally on the same side, which is apparently why they must part Lena (!!!!) is at Bianca's side...
  • for about a minute and a half, maybe two Maggie is at Bianca's other side... stuck to it, apparently
  • Tad and Liza are side-by-side at the airport though they may yet chicken out Opal and Marian are on opposite sides but Opal is side-splittingly funny ( eh. :)
  • No one is on Mary's side but Juan Pablo is on G-lee's, unfortunately.

The PVPD, Anna's office – Anna's putting a letter to Jackson in an envelope just before Aiden drops by, wondering if she'd arrested David yet. He shows her the Erica's date book, but she kindly points out that there's no body, and no weapon, and no real proof of foul play, and Cambias has a lot of charges against him and the resources to disappear if he wanted to, and really, who would care, anyway?

Aiden admits that he might be 'run out of town' if he helped track down ol' Mikey's killer, but he still believes in truth, justice, and the, hum, American way. Isn't he sweet? The poor, deluded sod.

Anna assures him that she knows how to 'take care of David,' and sends him on his way. Since her version of taking care of David now includes losing evidence (she takes the date book with her), she's quitting the force. I guess she'll send Aiden a postcard from Europe. She does stop short of advising Deputy Whozits to close the case on Cambias, noting that whoever made SkunkAss disappear was 'very thorough.' Let's hope so, cuz with Anna gone... Nah, in honor of Finola's last week, I won't snark on Anna's competence. Besides, she looks so hot in all that black. Anna, go find Lena for some comfort sex--you both probably need it and Lord knows you deserve it, mmm'k?

The Cow Palace – David is on the phone with Erica, telling her that things are not going well, but that she shouldn't worry. "If it hits the fan, you say nothing. You know nothing. Do you understand me? They're gonna come after me, and I can take care of it. You just take care of Bianca. And remember: she's why we did this."

The Penthouse – Just in case any of us have forgotten who, exactly, Bianca is, the directors/editors were kind enough to cut straight to the beginning of her five minutes in this episode. She and Maggie come in from the pic-a-nic, slightly giggly, and complaining about how much they've eaten. Uh-huh.

There's a lovely little bouquet of flowers on the coffee table and Bianca comments on them, noting that the guard downstairs had mentioned them to her. Maggie jokes about somebody trying to suck up to Erica while Bianca retrieves the card. Nope. Not for Erica.

She smiled, y'all! I saw it! Just for a few seconds, but there was a little lilt in her voice, too. It was there! It WAS!

But that damned card is every bit as distracting to me as that 'why's-it-taking-so-long-to-open?' envelope was to C.K. a few days ago. Read the card! Read! The! Card!! Out! Loud! But, no, I cain't git no satisfaction.

Binks calls Lena and is all nervous before she arrives, asking Maggie if she 'looks any different.' Maggie says she's put on about 10 lbs. No, not really. What she actually says is that Bianca looks a little older, and I'm not sure why she thought that would help, but, hey, she had to say *some*thing.

Maggie asks if Bianca wants her to go, and despite my screaming 'YES!' at the top of my lungs, Bianca wants her to stick around. She admits to being scared and nervous, to which Maggie says, "You're not ready for this," and offers to intercept Lena and send her on her way. Go Away, Maggie, you little twit!

Thankfully, Bianca knows she's as ready as she's likely to get. "I know that there's never gonna be a right time for this. I know that I don't want to hurt her anymore." Yay!

Maggie: "You have to stop worrying about everyone else, okay?"

While that is a valid enough point on its own, I still have to say: Shut the Hell UP, Maggie!

"No. I hate...doing this to her. I hate...all of this. I mean, sometimes I don't even feel like myself, any more." Bianca tries to tie a sweatshirt around her waist--you know, to hide that huge 2 mo. old fetus--and seems to succeed, but in the next shot, poof! it's gone, so maybe she wasn't all that worried about those pregnancy pounds, after all.

The doorbell rings and Bianca says, 'Oh God, she's here,' and smoothes back her hair. Maggie goes to hide out in (and eavesdrop from--hey, it's a soap!) the bedroom, and Bianca goes to the door.

And cautious is the watchword for the remainder of this scene, Lena doesn't try to touch her, and they're both very nervous and apologize a lot (not to mention looking away from each other a lot), but it all works. Lena studies her shoes a lot more than I would like, but Bianca actually gazes at Lena more than I would've expected.

Lena, btw, is also all in black (like Anna) and looking mighty, mighty hot in her little spaghetti strap top and that little sweater-like thing over it!

Lena: "Thank you for seeing me."
Bianca
: "The flowers are...beautiful."
Lena
: "Everything beautiful reminds me of you. I'm sorry. It's probably the wrong thing to say."
Bianca
: "Hey, there's...no right thing to say, right now."
Lena
: "That's all right. We don't have to talk. Being with you is enough." (she realizes she might've said too much)
Bianca
: (looking sorry) "I can't."
Lena
: "I know, I-- I know that I remind you of that horrible night, and I hate that you can't look at me without seeing him. But maybe one day..."
Bianca
: "Don't. Please, don't."
Lena
: "I'm sorry. Tell me what I can do."
Bianca: "I don't know. [sits on the couch] There's so much to think about right now. There's so many decisions to be made."

Lena
: "Okay, well, if you'd rather talk things through, I would love to listen. To help you in any way I can. Just confide in me."
Bianca
: "I want to."
Lena
: "You can. Bianca, there's nothing you can't tell me. Remember? We can survive as long as... as long as we're together."

Bianca thinks about that, seems to really want to, but can't quite go there just yet. Lena goes to sit on the couch--about a foot away from Bianca, while Binks stares off into space, trying to decide.

Bianca: "I'm sorry."
Lena
: "It's all right."
Bianca
: "I want to, but..." [looks over at Lena]
Lena
: "Y--You have someone to talk to, though, yes? Your mother? Your uncle?"
Bianca
: "Yes. Yes."
Lena
: "Good. That's all that matters to me--that you can open up to someone whenever you need, and... I know it may take you a very long time to forgive me for what I...did. And I know you can't turn to me right now..."
Bianca
: "Lena, please, don't say things like that."
Lena
: "Bianca, I've done some terrible things. Things I never thought I was capable of." [and I know we're supposed to believe she's not talking about anything she did while in Michael's employ, but I don't care, because they're TALKING!
Wheeee!]
Bianca
: "Don't dwell on the past, Lena. We both need to try to look ahead, now." [I *refuse* to believe this is a 'I have to give you up for your own good' anvil; I'm sure Binks just doesn't want Lena blaming herself. So There!]
Lena
: "Yeah, you're right. And, you know, thank God for you, the worst of it is over now..." [Damn Anvils! Bianca wipes her nose, trying not to cry] "Is there nothing I can do?"
Bianca
: "I don't think so. But...I appreciate this. I'm sorry that I'm still such a mess."
Lena
: "You're a miracle." [*sniff* perfect girlfriend ]
Bianca
: [and Bianca gives her such a *look*, at that, but then kind of takes it back with a lukewarm,] "Thank you for stopping by."
Lena
: "I just hope it didn't seem too selfish. I've been *yearning* to be near... I'm sorry." [and the moment is gone. Binks stands, as does Lena.] "I--I hate to leave you here alone."
Bianca
: "Oh, Maggie's here."
Lena
: "Oh, yes, of course. I--I saw you come in together." [she turns toward the door, Binks hangs back a minute, then follows her to the door. Lena turns back to look at her] "Bianca, I'm so sorry for what I did, and I'll never stop loving you, or needing you."

Lena leaves before she can screw anything up, and Bianca lets her, but then steps up to make love to the door once Lena is on the other side. [That door's getting *some* action, huh?]

I've got a lot more to say on this, but I think I'll save it until I suffer through the BAM scene

Bianca: "Lena was so tender, so...so concerned for me. She--she really loves me, Maggie." [and the first hundred times she'd said did were just to warm you up for this moment when the message finally got through, huh?]
Maggie
: "But?"
Bianca
: "But I still couldn't confide in her. Shouldn't I need her now more than ever? I don't... Why did I – why did I send her away? Why didn't I let her hold me?" [you ain't the only one asking that question, sister!]
Maggie
: "Because it's not real to you yet."
Bianca
: "No, it is real. It's--it's too real."
Maggie
: "Listen, you're not used to the idea, yet. When you are, then you will be able to tell her."
Bianca
: "What if I never am? I'm pregnant. What am I gonna do about this?"
Maggie
: "We're going to figure it out." [hugs]
Bianca
: "We will?"
Maggie
: "Yes, we will. And I am not going anywhere."

That's it. It was mercifully short, and since they were talking mostly about the pregnancy (instead of the idea of Binks being with Lena again), I won't even snark. Um, any more.

Okay, as frustrated as a part of me was at watching Bianca let Lena walk away so soon, I promised myself after that first viewing that I wouldn't be too hard on Bianca. Because I have no real clue about the kind of hell she's going through, so what do I know about how realistic her reactions are? But now, having watched those scenes several times, to get the dialogue down, I'm not even tempted to snark about either of their behavior (Maggie's a different
story, but I won't even snark on her any more [whisper] til tomorrow []/whisper] :)

Today included the first hints I've seen in quite some time that Lena is very much on Bianca's mind--her very nervousness spoke volumes about that. In fact, if it had been in the context of a big date, the nervousness would have been downright cute on her. She knows that her hiding out from Lena was bound to hurt her and she obviously feels badly about that. And, while she could have made it clearer, I didn't get any sense that she blames Lena for anything or that she doesn't want to be with her. Quite the opposite, I think. She seemed troubled by Lena's
self-blame trip and at the implications that they might not be able to find their way back to one another. In any case, it was just such a relief to hear Bianca talking to someone, even if it was Maggie, about Lena. And I think the encounter could have gone far, far worse. I'm sooooo glad Erica wasn't anywhere near when this happened!

As for Lena, what can I say? She played this absolutely perfectly, I think. Very cautious with Bianca physically, and very restrained with her in terms of what she said, overall. And very willing to go along with what Bianca needed or wanted. Even when she did say something that was a little more intense than Bianca could deal with, she was saying
things that Bianca really needed to hear (and will be more and more grateful for knowing as her healing progresses). I'm so glad they decided to write the character much less stalker-ish than they have been of late. I got a very strong sense that, while she's still somewhat frustrated at being relegated to the periphery of Bianca's life, she was very relieved and happy about actually being able to see Bianca--to look her in the eye and see for herself how Bianca
was doing. I think it did her a world of good.

Since I didn't have any real hopes of actually seeing Lena again this week, I'm *happy*. Happy! About the prospects for Lianca for the first time in weeks. And, now that it seems Bianca will finally get some counseling, I'm really hoping this storyline is turning around (even if we do still have to deal with the Michael Murder Mystery Madness).

And I just can't say enough about Olga's acting abilities, and she and Eden play so well off each other that I can live on this scene for at least a week! :-D

Oh God! I gotta do the rest of the episode now?? okay, but I'll probably be considerably more brief with the other storylines...

The Cow Palace – Anna comes home to confront David. D's surprised Anna didn't bring an arresting officer, but she tells him not to be too encouraged, because: "Well, it's over, David. Isn't it? I'm leaving."

Blah, blah, blah, he tries to convince her to stay, and despite his seeming happy that she's ambivalent enough about the Cambias case to quit her job (Anna: "I don't want any apologies, or explanations. I was in that in that hearing. I saw the smirk on Michael's face over what he had done to that poor child!"), rather than pursue the 'disappear-er,' he's not really all that convincing. She's going to Paris to be with her other daughter, Robin (what? I read the
character's bio page!), b/c she's felt empty since Leora's death and, try as she might, she hasn't been able to get it back.

She gives David Erica's date book and tells him that what happens next is "up to you." He tells her that if he'd known she had it, he would never have asked her for it, and he wants a chance to prove that she can trust him, but it's not enough to convince her to stay.

David: "I still love you, Anna!"
Anna
: "I love you, too. But I think it's more in our heads than our hearts."
[Anna ==> Lena ==> comfort sex! I'm jus' sayin.']

The Tad & Liza interlude – She comes over with tickets to Tahiti, wanting to whisk him away before the shit 'hits the fan.' They banter, and it's cute, and they almost kiss, but GreasyJaime walks in and isn't the least little bit cute, which is bad enough, but, y'know, he *interrupted* them!

And speaking of interruptions... here comes Opal, with dire predictions of cosmic misalignment all centered on Tad's place. She asks what's wrong, Greasy complains about not being on the Tahiti train (ok, plane), and Opal is shocked. Shocked!!

Opal: "Tahiti? Tahiti?! With...with Li-- Ye Gods and little fishes! Once again my receptors are quivering right on target!"

and I laugh, and laugh, and laugh, and LAUGH! Seriously, she was hilarious!

And further hilarity ensues when Marian drops by to drop off a package of condoms, so little Liza won't have to wag her finger at Tad later and say, 'no glove, no loo-oove.'

Liza is, of course, horrified, but not as horrified as Opal, it seems. Then Marian and Opal get busy with the snarking and sniping about whose child is worse and why those two just shouldn't try to get together again (though Marion seems much more supportive of the possibility than Opal is). They're so busy fighting with each other that Tad and Liza slip away unnoticed by anyone but Greasy, who's delighted by that (no doubt thinking that, since Dad's place will
be empty, he can have a swingin' party with lots of hot chicks).

Tad & Liza make it to the airport, but damn near manage to talk themselves out of the trip – remembering how bad one previous attempt (when they were kids) ended up. By the time we leave them, they're both trying to talk themselves back into the Tahiti trip, but neither is looking all that confident, or enthused, any more, so I suspect
Greasy's hopes of trashing Dad's place &/or getting laid will be dashed.

Smarm and *cough* Charm Airways – Greenlee let's Mary know that the jig is up, tho' Mary is a little slow on the uptake and doesn't get that Gwan Pablow was in on the whole thing, at first. She's still angling for that trip to Milan (since when is Milan in Argentina?? Did I miss something? Oh, wait: 'Nevermind. I don't care.')

But, the deed was a fake (and probably the necklace, too)--either way, though, she ain't getting' any of the
things she wants (least of all Pablito, who lets his disgust be known).

Greenlee wants to be alone w/Mary, who invites her to gloat.

Greenlee: "No, I didn't win. The truth, maybe. You don't love me."

In Mary's little fantasy whorl [Juan Pablo-ism], JP was offering lu-uuuv, as well as big piles 'o cash and that "didn't preclude my having a relationship with you." Um, ye-eaahhh.

Greenlee: "Despite of everything, I loved you. I--I even almost let you rob me of the chance to have a father. You kept his identity from me, you... You told me a lie to try to make me to hate him."
Mary
: "Well, I've told you the truth just now."
Greenlee
: "It's too late."
Mary
: "Greenlee. Wait. I'm your mother. I'm fallible, but I'm still your mother."
Greenlee
: "Goodbye...Mother."

Mary has the unmitigated gall to try to squeeze a little 'stipend' out of Greens, who's all 'Stipend THIS, you old bitch!' well, ok, that was me, but that's the gist of it. "Grand-daddy might give in, but I won't!"

Greens sits down on the couch in the jet and breaks down. It's really very sad (despite the fact that I'm about to make light of it) and Rebecca does a wonderful job with it. Poor thing. Greenlee, you need to go find Kendall, cry and moan about your respective mothers, get drunk, and then have comfort sex. Comfort! Sex!

[and speaking of which, maybe Opal needs to put all that quivering and receptiveness to good use and get freaky with Marian. <eg> oh, come on, it's not *that* squicky, is it?]

but, alas, Juan Pablo, comes back to find her still sniffling. She tries to play the hard-hearted bitch, but JP knows better (as do we all).

Greenlee: "Tears are a sign of weakness, and I may be stupid, but I am not weak!"
Juan Pablo
: "No. You are not."

Later, G-lee's in JP's arms and says she doesn't want to move, JP says she doesn't have to, and they kiss, causing me to scream for a long time and cover my eyes. (seriously, I even disturbed my puppy, who was lying next to me--and he's deaf!)

TOMORROW/NEXT WEEK ON AMC: Thankfully, the other dynamic Fusion duo interrupt Greenlee and JP before they can do anything I'll regret, saying they need to do something before they lose Fusion for good; apparently, Tad & Liza apparently do make it to Tahiti, where Tad promptly sticks Liza with the luggage while he flirts with the locals and gets 'lei-ed;' Kendall asks Aiden if he wants to 'kiss and make out...erm, UP;' Ryan asks Boremund to play CSI with the glass from the decanter of Michael's Scotch that David 'doctored;' new(again) Dr. Maria asks Bianca if she can do anything to help her.

COMMENTARIES

Skiffypup
I have coined a new term for Lena's depth of despair to reflect her circumstances: "domicidal

PARODY

This parody is by LizzieT.

Because Lena's storyline is so sad, she does not appear in the parody.

Aidan went to see Anna.
Aidan: I need to tawk to yew. Oi think Dighvid and Erica migh ave troid to kill Moichal Cambias.
Anna: And I care because?
Aidan: Yew're the chief of police.
Anna: Not for long. What makes you think Michael's dead?
Aidan: Oi read the message boards. Oi know most people think someone's done im in. Oi'm determined to foind out oo did it.
Anna: Why? You're not a cop. It's certainly not going to increase your popularity if you accuse someone of killing the most hated man in town. Why are you pushing this?
Aidan: Someone as too. If yew're being written out then it's up tew me. Mighbe Oi'll be appointed the new police chief. That wigh they won't ave to chinge the Chief Devine soign on the door.
Anna: I'd stay out of it if I were you. With me gone they might not feel the need to keep you in town to be part of my family. I have to go see David now for our big goodbye scene. Toodleloo.

Anna went back to the cabin.
Anna: David, I'm leaving.
David: What do you mean leaving? You just got here.
Anna: No, I mean really leaving. Things haven't worked out for me here the way I thought they would. My character just isn't the same as it was on General Hospital. I think it's time for me to move on.
David: You can't leave me. What will I do if you're gone? They might stick me with one of the Fusion girls for God''s sake!
Anna: I'm sorry David. It's time for me to go.
David: So soon? I thought we'd get at least a couple of episodes to say goodbye.
Anna: We could have had an extra episode but they were going to make me say that I was going off to search for the winner of the sexiest man contest. I think it's better this way.
David: I guess you're right. Oh well, I won't be too lonely. I think Dixie's sweater is still around here somewhere.

Mary, Juan Pablo and Greenlee were on the plane.
Mary: So Juan Pablo, let's take off. Greenlee, I'll give you a call in a few years and see how you're doing.
Juan Pablo: I am sorry Mary. It was all a trick. I do not wish to run away with you.
Mary: But...but...what do you mean?
Greenlee: It was a test and you failed. You were supposed to prove you loved me by staying.
Mary: You mean the whole last 59 episodes of repetitive dialogue have been a trick?
Greenlee: Right. Now the audience will feel even sorrier than ever for me with you for a mother.
Mary: Don't count on it dear. I think the audience lost interest in this storyline around episode 23. So Greenlee, if I'm not going to Argentina with Juan Pablo I can stay here with you and make up for lost revenue - I mean time.
Greenlee: Forget it mother. You had you're last chance.
Mary: Hmmm. Either I'm being written out or I'd better find a new storyline fast.

Liza arrived at Tad's door.
Liza: Come with me Tad. I have two tickets to Tahiti and the angry villagers are distracted right now. Let's run away.
Tad: Are you sure that' s a good idea?
Liza: I'm sure. Even if they find out where we're going, the angry villagers can't get through airport security. Let's go.
Jamie: If you run off to Tahiti with her I should be able to have girls over while you're gone. I'm only following your moral example.
Tad: Sometimes I miss the days when you were mute.
Opal: Hold your horses everyone. Something's wrong. The planets haven't been this out of line since Farmer McDougals bull got mixed up and tried to have his way with half of the chickens in Mashed Potato County.
Jamie: Dad's running off with Liza.
Marion: And I brought something along for you to take on the trip.
Liza: A chastity belt?
Marion: Just call me Angry Villager #78.

Bianca: I know that I don't want to hurt her anymore.
Maggie: You have to stop worrying about everyone else, ok? Look, I will go tell her that you've changed your mind and --
Bianca: No. I hate doing this to her. I hate all of this.
Maggie: I know.
Bianca: Sometimes I don't even feel like myself anymore.
Maggie: I -- I wish there was something that I could do just to help. I --
Bianca: Me, too.
[Doorbell rings]
Bianca: Oh, God, she's here.
Maggie: I'll go hang out in the bedroom. Should I just stay --
Bianca: Yeah, thank you.
Maggie: Ok. [Lena is at the door]

***** (clip c) [Lena tells Bianca that they can survive anything as long as they are together] [amc030911c starts]

Lena: Thank you for seeing me.
Bianca: Lena, the flowers are beautiful.
Lena: Everything beautiful reminds me of you. I'm sorry. It's probably the wrong thing to say.
Bianca: Hey, there's no right thing to say right now.
Lena: That's all right. We don't have to talk. Being with you is enough.
Bianca: I can't --
Lena: I know. I know that I remind you of that horrible night, and I hate it. You can't look at me without seeing him, but maybe one day --
Bianca: Don’t. Please don't.
Lena: I'm sorry. Tell me what I can do.
Bianca: I don't know. There's so much to think about right now. There's so many decisions to be made.
Lena: Ok, well, if you'd rather talk things through, I would love to listen, to help you any way I can. Just confide in me.
Bianca: I want to.
Lena: You can. Bianca, there's nothing you can't tell me. Remember? We can survive anything as long as -- as long as we're together.

***** (clip d) [Bianca apologizes for not being able to confide in Lena]

[amc030911d starts]
Bianca: I'm sorry.
Lena: It's all right.
Bianca: I want to, but --
Lena: You have someone to talk to, though, yes? Your mother? Your uncle?
Bianca: Yes, yes.
Lena: Good. That's all that matters to me -- that you can open up with someone whenever you need, and I know it might take you a very long time to forgive me for what I did, and I know you can't turn to me right now --
Bianca: Lena, please, don't say things like that.
Lena: Bianca, I've done some terrible things, things I never thought I was capable of.

***** (clip e) [Lena tells Bianca she will never stop loving or needing her]

[amc030911e starts]
Bianca: Don't dwell on the past, Lena. We both need to try to look ahead now.
Lena: Yeah, you're right. And, you know, thank God for you the worst of it is over now. Is there nothing I can do?
Bianca: I don't think so, but I appreciate this. I'm sorry that I’m still such a mess.
Lena: You're a miracle.
Bianca: Thank you for stopping by.
Lena: I just hope it didn't seem too selfish. I've been yearning to be near -- I'm sorry. [pause] I hate to leave you here alone.
Bianca: Oh, Maggie’s here.
Lena: Oh, yes, of course. I saw you come in together. Bianca, I'm so sorry for what I did, and I'll never stop loving you or needing you.
[Lena leaves]

***** (clip f)

[amc030911f starts]
Bianca: Lena was so tender, so concerned for me. She -- she really loves me, Maggie.
Maggie: But?
Bianca: But I still couldn't confide in her. Shouldn't I need her now more than ever? I don't -- why did I -- why did I send her away? Why didn't I let her hold me?
Maggie: Because it's not real to you yet.
Bianca: No, it is real. It's too real.
Maggie: Listen, you're not used to the idea yet. When you are, then you will be able to tell her.
Bianca: What if I never am? I'm pregnant. What am I going to do about this?
Maggie: We're going to figure it out.
Bianca: We will?
Maggie: Yes, we will, and I am not going anywhere.
