PRESS RELEASE

Elizabeth Ruckeyser (special guest star Rena Mero), the curator of New York's Crawford Institute, summons Sydney and Nigel to the Big Apple to track down the sacred statue of the cat goddess Mafdet, a priceless, ancient Egyptian relic that Sydney found and returned once before. An age-old curse on the golden figurine, on loan from Cairo, claims that anyone who steals it will die by the claws of the cat. The hunt delves into Manhattan's underground ring of art thieves and fencers, turning up dead body after dead body - all covered with mysterious thrash marks. Is the cat goddess Mafdet seeking revenge, or is someone of flesh and blood fulfilling the ancient prophesy? And who would risk such peril -- supernatural or otherwise -- to get their claws on the piece?

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR

11-05-01. From Steve Crow. Carlo Rota (Logenfeld) played the Sultan in "Star of Nadir"

05-07-00. Mike Lewis: Right after the art dealer (Leggerfeld) says "Oh, that's just a prop knife!" and the goon chops the melon in half, Nigel's lips are moving as if saying something... but there's no sound! I wonder if they cut the remark?
