TV GUIDE PROMO

A magician summons Sydney to locate a jewel-encrusted staff belonging to the Hungarian royal family.

PRESS RELEASE

Rex Rolands, a magician with a penchant for making things disappear, seeks out Sydney's expertise -- making things reappear - to locate Hungary's Cursed Scepter, a jewel-encrusted staff that belonged to the Hungarian royal family until they were the victims of a magic show hoax. The recovered journal of a Scotland Yard investigator brings Rex, Sydney and Nigel to The Magic Mansion in Atlantic City, which was once the home of The Great Brodsky, the very trickster reputed to have stolen the royal heirloom at the beginning of the century. While Sydney and Nigel navigate the mansion's secret passageways, entangling labyrinths and hidden chutes, someone on the inside clues into their search and is determined to stop them - using more than sleight of hand and magic tricks.

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR

07-26-01. From ">Steve Crow. Highlander in-joke in A Vanishing Art. It's kind of subtle, but when they get into the limousine in Atlantic City or wherever near the beginning of the episode and Nigel flips on the TV while checking out the fancy gadgets, listen to what's playing on the TV. There's no picture, but there are suspiciously familiar sounding metal/sword clanking noises, a yell or two, and then a very familiar "Quickening"-type explosion noise.

08-02-00. They did a take-off of the mirror scene from "Enter the Dragon" with Erica and Syd stalking each other through a hall of mirrors.

08-02-00. Julie McCullough was the Playboy Playmate of the Month February 1986
