Shoot first; don't even bother with the questions. Murder in the Morgue - A police officer tries to kill Tru and Davis in order to keep from getting framed for a murder he didn't commit. If this show gets any dumber, Shack will have to spell out the recaps phonetically. TWoP
A dead bride still in her wedding dress is on a table at the morgue. Nicole Simms was shot in the back by an unknown assailant on her wedding day. Justin Burke, a man she dated, is still bent about their break-up and may want to do something about it but Tru notices that Justin isn't carrying his gun (he's a cop) so did he really shoot Nicole? As Tru starts working on Nicole, the man she was supposed to marry comes in the morgue. Tru gives him a few moments with his dead wife but when Davis and Tru come back in the room, they find the man with an extracting tool in his hands, about to remove the bullet from Nicole's body! Davis orders Tru to call security but she can't make it as the man gets out a gun and advises against it. Davis and Tru both want to reach the phone and BAM! A shot flies right through Davis... and another one comes right at Tru... but the dead bride turns her head and ... Tru meets with the man at a dinner and tells him that Nicole is running late to talk to him. She tells him that Nicole seems to think the man, Justin Burke, whom she dated, is still bent about their break-up and may want to do something about it but Tru notices that Justin isn't carrying his gun (he's a cop) so did he really shoot Nicole? If not, why did he go to the morgue to get the bullet? Also, when talking with Tru, he really seems happy for Nicole and the fact that she can commit to someone and he hopes he'll have that someday... but not with ex-girlfriend Alyssa with whom he breaks up with the same day that Nicole is getting married. Tru runs to the chapel where Nicole's body was found earlier in the episode but doesn't make it in time, she hears the gun shot... Meredith also appears in the episode.
