A year of sizzling hot celebrities has culminated in the crowning of Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz as the King and Queen of TV Guide Entertainment Network's (www.tvgen.com) "You Sexy Thing!" The competition was intense and the final tally of votes, a nail-biter. The winners were chosen from TVGEN's "You Sexy Thing!" feature which ran weekly throughout 1998. The 10 men and 10 women who received the most votes for the year were selected as finalists and TVGEN fans voted for the absolute sexiest celebrity of the year. The results, posted on the site beginning today, show Gellar garnered a whopping 22% of the votes registered as the Queen of the "You Sexy Thing!" contest. Coming in at a close second was Shania Twain with 19% of the votes. Other nominees for the title of Queen included high-profile names such as Lucy Lawless, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kate Winslet and the Spice Girls. The title of King was bestowed on David Boreanaz, who captured 36% of all votes, claiming a narrow victory over Hanson who ranked in with 35% of the votes. Boreanaz beat out the ever popular and hunky Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as, Matt Damon, Pierce Brosnan and Kevin Sorbo to name a few. The "You Sexy Thing!" feature continues into 1999 with new match-ups including Tyra Banks vs. Naomi Campbell and the Backstreet Boys vs. N Sync.
