Marylin Beck's take on Lucy Lawless' comments about bulimia made inthe USA Weekend magazine.

   Too thin a no-win

   ''Xena'' star Lucy Lawless has nothing good to say about the plethora of
anorexic-looking actresses now inhabiting Hollywood.

   ''Anorexia sort of bores me,'' Lawless says in USA Weekend magazine's Jan.
15-17 issue. She adds, ''To any girls out there who are thinking of it, or are
just getting into it, just quit your bloody nonsense! Enough already! It's a
total waste of time.''

   The statuesque, 5-foot-10 New Zealander says she speaks ''from a little bit
of experience. I used to quite like bulimia. I used to think that was fun.'' But
now she knows that nothing could be further from the truth about eating
disorders. ''You think you're going to get respect, attention, blah, blah, blah,
and it's quite the opposite. People are turned off.''
