SYNOPSIS

Lena tries to tell Michael that it's over, she's done; Michael gets a call from his father; Lena asks Binks if she can see her; Binks reluctantly agrees, even though it hurts that she has to act as though she still loves and trusts the Lena (due to the plans she, Kendall, and Erica have made to take Michael Cambias down), and makes plans to meet her at SOS later; Bianca tells Erica that she loves Lena.

RE-CAPS:

From The Official Site at ABC.com:
http://abc.go.com/daytime/allmychildren/episodes/2003-04/20030513.html

Kendall and Erica convince Bianca to agree to Lena's request that they meet later in order not to raise Lena's suspicions that they know what she is up to. Michael warns Lena that he isn't through with her yet.

From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/cs/recaps/a/bl20030513r.htm

Lena goes to Michael’s and says she’s going to make this quick; she’s done everything he wanted. She stole the combination to Erica’s safe from Bianca, she stole Boyd’s formula and gave it to him; all she wants from him now is an assurance that her mother’s whereabouts will remain a secret from the government. Michael tells her that whatever happens to her mother next is entirely up to her. Lena angrily asks what he means? She betrayed Bianca, put her personal life on the line and risked everything for this, “What more can you possibly want from me?” Michael doesn’t know—she has so many talents to choose from, and he taught her most of them! Lena thinks he’s disgusting, but he goes on that they were a good team until she sacrificed herself for that little pigeon she calls her lover. Lena tells Michael to leave Bianca out of this, “You are I are over!” Cambias chuckles, “I wouldn’t be so sure about that.” Lena tells him if he feels like celebrating, he should call Kendall, but Michael suggests he might be in the mood for something else. Lena asks what he wants her to do, find him a new playmate? He laughs that she does seem to have a way with the ladies. Lena snaps that she’s not his pimp! Watching his face, she says he’s not serious, but Cambias asks if he looks like he’s not serious? When the phone rings, he answers with an abrupt, “What?” His tone changes at hearing his father’s voice, and he asks how he is? He says he thinks he’s going to be very pleased, “I’ve accomplished something that even you couldn’t pull off!” He insists nothing’s going to go wrong because he’s on top of it, and no one has more invested in the future of Cambias Industries than he does; he says goodnight and hangs up. Lena tells Michael they aren’t so different, and he asks if she means their taste in women? Lena’s talking about Michael and his father, saying he cares about him and what he thinks of him. When he retorts that her sentimentality is amusing if not entirely misdirected, Lena asks if he isn’t doing this to make him proud? He’s going to extremes to protect his legacy because he loves him. “What, in the same way you whored yourself out to save your mother because you love her?” he asks, “No, I’m doing this because I want my father’s power, his money, and his job and make it my own—are we clear?” Lena asks, “You’re going to throw your own father out of the company he built?” Cambias agrees, “The same way he threw me out years ago, because he decided I wasn’t worthy of his time or attention. But, I am no longer the invisible son, and I am going to show him I am every bit the calculating bastard that he is!” Lena thinks that might actually, finally, make him proud. Michael notes it’s not too late for her to share in this with him. When she turns away in disgust, he remarks that this new version of her leaves very little to be desired by a man. He leaves the room, and Lena makes a call...

Bianca comes out of the bedroom and tells Erica that Jack is finally asleep. Erica tells her she’s so glad she decided to stay for dinner, and knows how difficult it is for her to have to face the truth about Lena’s agenda. When Bianca points out that Lena lied to her mother, too, Erica says she’s so happy she found out when she did before it was too late, before Lena could really hurt her. Bianca says she doesn’t get it, “I love her—she already hurt me.” She asks why there are three place settings at the table, as Jack already ate? Erica brightly says someone is joining them. Bianca asks who, but Erica only says it’s a surprise. Bianca’s face registers horror as she exclaims, “No, Mom, please tell me you didn’t! You didn’t invite Lena over here to ambush her, did you?” Erica insists she would never do anything like that, and Bianca tells her she wants to handle this herself. Erica vows she is not going to let Lena get away with this, but Bianca wants to fight this battle herself. She accuses her mother of having gotten what she wanted, but Erica protests that she never wanted to see her in pain. Erica thinks it’s not fair of Bianca to say she didn’t want to see her with any woman, but agrees she had her reservations about Lena. Bianca sighs that she didn’t listen because she didn’t want her to be right, and asks if Erica knows how hard it was to hear this from Kendall, of all people? Erica says Kendall was just trying to look out for her; Lena and Michael Cambias were in on this together, and played both of them. As Bianca tells her mother to please not compare her to Kendall, the doorbell rings. Erica opens the door to Kendall, who apologizes for being late. “Wait a minute!” Bianca exclaims, “You invited her here to have dinner with us? This is unreal, and I’m not sticking around for it!” Erica asks her to wait, and invites Kendall to come in. She tells Bianca that Kendall is part of this. Michael Cambias and Lena came after them separately and they were vulnerable, but together they can’t hurt them anymore, so why don’t they all sit down and try to deal with this rationally? Erica sits between them, and Kendall thanks her for including her in this—it means a lot to her. Erica says there’s no need to thank her; she tried to warn Kendall about Michael, and Kendall tried to warn Bianca about Lena, so of course she’s a part of this. Erica says Michael is a master manipulator, and Kendall agrees he knew she’d fall for him, and she did. Bianca says that’s what Lena did to her when she told her she loved her. Erica assures her that this will fade. She says Michael and Lena tricked both of them, and it was low and cruel, but they mustn’t blame themselves for what they did to them. Kendall sighs they made them feel safe and loved; there’s nothing worse than being given that and then having it taken away from you. Erica thinks it’s time they give them a taste of their own medicine, “We have an ally that neither of them is aware of.” She can’t say who, but promises they will hurt them and hit them harder than either of them has ever done to any of them! Bianca asks why she can’t just handle Lena in her own way? Kendall says it’s too risky; she’ll make it personal, and she can’t do that. When Erica says Kendall’s right, Bianca groans, “Please stop saying that!” She asks why Kendall told her, and Erica explains that she asked her to because she couldn’t stand to see what Lena was doing to her; she really thought it would be easier to hear from Kendall because every time she talks about her relationships, Bianca questions her motives.

Bianca asks if that big scene at the Valley Inn was part of their plan? Erica says yes, although Kendall did improvise on her end. When Bianca checks a message on her cell phone, Kendall tells Erica she doesn’t want to turn this ugly because she thinks it’s going pretty well, but what part of their encounter did she improvise? Erica doesn’t think it was necessary for her to bring up that horrid incident with Dimitri and that letter opener. Kendall argues that she had to say something really vicious or Michael would have been suspicious, but Erica says that was an unpleasant chapter in both of their lives; she doesn’t think she needed to exploit it that way. Kendall apologizes, and Erica thanks her. Bianca comes back and says that was Lena, “She wants to see me.” Kendall knows this is not going to be easy, and Erica agrees that deception never is. Kendall goes on that every time Lena says anything to her, she’s going to want to scream that she knows it’s all a big, fat lie. She agrees that she hates to pretend she still cares about Michael and feels dirty when she does it, “I never thought anybody could make me feel so bad about myself.” Erica looks at her with compassion before asking Bianca if she’s up to this? Bianca sighs that it’s the only way their plan is going to work, so she’ll do what she has to do. When she leaves the room, Kendall suggests that maybe involving Bianca was a bad move. Erica admits it does break her heart to see her in so much pain, “When your child is hurting…” She sees the look on Kendall’s face and concludes that she just wishes she could have shielded Bianca from all of this, “I’m very sorry about what Michael did to you.” Kendall nods and turns away, and is very surprised when Erica takes her hand in comfort. Bianca’s phone rings again, and Erica says that might be Lena. Bianca picks up with, “Hey, you!” Lena breathes that it’s so good to hear her voice, she misses her, and asks if this is a bad time? She’s feeling overwhelmed, “I need to see you, to hold you—tell me you feel the same, that you want me.” Bianca turns away from her mother and sister as she says, “I want you, too.” Lena asks when she can get away, and they agree to meet at S.O.S. in about an hour. Bianca hangs up and tells Erica and Kendall she doesn’t know if she can do this; is she just supposed to sit there, across from her? Kendall says yes, she just has to do it. When Bianca sighs that she’s joining a convent, Kendall tells her, “Save a veil for me, will you?” Erica adds, “Don’t look at me—I’ve already done that!” They share a small laugh, and Erica proposes a toast, “To the downfalls of Michael Cambias and Lena Kondera, and the women who will make it happen. May it be fast, just and unforgettable.” They clink their glasses, deep in their own thoughts.

Previously, on All My Children
Bianca looked on in horror as Lena cracked Erica's safe.
Erica promised Bianca that they'll get revenge.
Chris died, I squealed, Maddie watched.
Edmund laid his brilliant, this-could-NEVER-backfire-horribly trap for Flanders.

Bianca's at Erica's for dinner. Talk obviously turns to Lena, where Erica voices her relief that Bianca got out before she got hurt. Bianca sadly corrects her. "You don't get it, mom. I love her. She already hurt me." I just don't feel as badly for Bianca as I did for Kendall because I know Lena actually does love her, and sooner or later those crazy kids will work it all out. The *sshat, on the other hand, has yet to grasp the concept of 'genuine emotions.' Bianca notices that dinner's set for three and Jack's already eaten. Hearing there's a surprise guest invited, Bianca leap-frogs to the conclusion that her mother invited Lena with ambush on her mind.

Storming past *sshat and into his living room, Lena demands her mother's protection now that she's done all he asked of her. Oh, Lena. Will you never learn? There IS no "done."...

*sshat just called Bianca a little pigeon. ... Is that an insult? Either way, he smarms that he and Lena aren't done.

Bianca's relieved to find that Lena isn't the mystery guest, especially since she wants to take care of Lena herself. She starts b*tching about how crappy it was to hear the truth "from Kendall, of all people." Erica reminds her that Kendall was just looking out for her little sister -- that *sshat and Lena played both of them the same way. Bianca asks not to be compared to Kendall as the doorbell rings. Speak of the devil, Kendall is the third guest for dinner. Wheeheeheeeeee! Eeeee! I haven't squealed this loud since ... well, since last week, when Chris bit it.

*sshat wants to celebrate. He wants ... huh? Lena to find him a woman? He seems serious but I can't really be sure as the phone interrupts them. Seems like Daddy Dearest is on the line.

Before we really get into them, I should warn y'all that the Kane girls scenes are pretty much free of snark. I couldn't pick my jaw up off the floor/quit giggling for joy long enough to crack a joke anyway, but man, they rocked so hard. Even Lucci kicked the emotion of these out of the park.

Bianca's just short of horrified at the company and makes to leave, so Erica pulls her aside and tries to convince her that her sister's part of this. She's the cause of this, Bianca counters. Hey now, of course she's not. Erica promises that Lena and *sshat came after both girls separately, and that made everyone vulnerable, but together they can't be touched. (Together! Kendall too! EEE! Sorry.) Bianca reluctantly caves, and Kendall looks like she wants to pinch herself right about now to make sure this is actually happening. She thanks Erica for including her, but Erica shrugs it off. She tried to warn Kendall about *sshat, and Kendall tried to warn Bianca, but it's all worked out now. Kendall quietly gets into how *sshat got her to trust him: he knew if he said what she wanted to hear, she'd fall. Bianca breaks her sulky silence. "That's what Lena did to me," she says. Erica pipes in that they can't blame themselves for the "low, cruel, and despicable" things Lena and *sshat did to them. "They made us feel safe, and loved," Kendall replies. "There's nothing worse than being given that and then having it taken away from you." *sniffles* Erica lightens the mood a little bit by proposing that they give those b*st*rds something to choke on. They have a secret ally in this, though she won't reveal who, but she promises that Lena and *sshat are going to be hit back and hit hard...

*sshat deals with his daddy issues. Lena listens, and smirks that they're not so different. Poor widdle Michael cares what his daddy thinks of him, and just wants to protect his father's fortunes because he loves him. The *sshat snaps that there are no similarities: Lena whored herself out to save her mother, he just wants everything his father has. Hm, I think someone hit a nerve.

Bianca can't understand why she can't take care of Lena on her own terms. Too risky, Kendall tells her. It'll get personal, and that's the last thing they need. "Kendall's right," adds Erica. Wow. Just ... wow. Bianca sinks into a chair. "Ugh. Please stop saying that." Hee! B's still annoyed that there was conversation behind her back between Kendall and her mother. Erica asks her to try to understand. When Erica's asking the questions, Bianca just questions her motives. That's much better than the "because you're not family" reason Erica gave Kendall last week, isn't it? Bianca learns that the throwdown at the Valley Inn was staged too, and heh, Kendall looks like she really wants to interject when Erica says offhand that Kendall did some improvising. Bianca's phone beeps loudly and annoyingly to let her know she has a message, so she runs to check it. Kendall asks what part she improvised. Turns out Erica wasn't quite thrilled to have the whole Dimitri meets letter opener thing brought up again. Kendall protests that it had to be a vicious fight, or *sshat wouldn't have bought it. Erica just doesn't want to exploit that mutually crappy part of their past. "I'm sorry," Kendall says sincerely. Erica thanks her. I'm speechless again, and I think a frog just hit my window. Bianca returns with the news that Lena asked to see her. Kendall and Erica reply, in synch, "You have to go to her!" Bianca stares at them both like she's tripped into Bizarro world. Hee...

Kendall understands how Bianca's going to feel talking to Lena; she has the same thing being with *sshat. I love their bonding over this, though I've gotta say it's not quite the same for them. At least *sshat knows that Kendall knows every rotten thing he did to her, and they have a predominantly business relationship now. Bianca's got to pretend that she still trusts and loves Lena and doesn't have a clue what's happening around her. Binks hates the thought of having to pretend, and Kendall gets that, too. "I never thought anybody could make me feel so bad about myself," she says softly, and I swear to god Erica's heart is breaking for her. It's written all over her face. Bianca gives in and commits to the plan, and then takes another stroll around the apartment. Nerves or plot contrivance, take your pick. Anyway, when she's out of earshot Kendall worries that they did wrong by getting her involved. Erica replies that seeing Bianca in so much pain breaks her heart. "When your child is hurting, you --" She cuts off to look at Kendall. "I just wish I could have shielded her from all of this." Kendall's desperately trying to hide that Erica talking like this makes her feel like a kicked puppy. Erica picks up on it and apologizes to Kendall for what the *sshat did to her. As Kendall stays silent and seems on the verge of tears, Erica ... hang on, I have to rewind, I must've seen that wrong. Erica ... good holy freaking christ, Erica, with real emotion all over her face, reaches out and takes Kendall's hand. Within a moment she drops it again and makes an excuse to check on Bianca, and Kendall and I are both left slack-jawed.

Lena places a call that rings at Erica's, telling Bianca she needs to see her, she wants her. Interesting how Lena is now the needy persistent half of this relationship. "I want you too," Bianca tells her. From the lack of reaction, I have to assume Erica's fragile ears didn't hear that...

Bianca painfully agrees to meet Lena at S.O.S. later. Off the phone, Bianca asks Kendall for advice on how she's supposed to deal with this, but is fed up anyway. "I hate this so much," she mutters. "I'm joining a convent." Kendall asks her to save a veil for her. There's a moment of silence, and Erica holds up her hands. "Don't look at me, I've already done that." Hee! She makes a toast to their impending triumph and man, I can't say enough how perfect these three are together. More! More!...

On the next All My Children
Greenlee drags Tad off someplace.
Reggie asks where his room is at Erica's. Hee, this should be good.
Lena admits to Bianca that she's been lying.
Mia gets conked in the head.

Lena parts are indicated in red for those who only want a Lena fix

TODAY ON AMC:

  • Michael needs a pimp.
  • Erica plots with Kendall and Bianca.
  • Michael gets a new nickname.
  • Lena wants Bianca.
  • Everyone wants to be a nun.

Erica's Penthouse - Jack is finally asleep, though why it is Bianca who says that to Erica as opposed to the other way around is a mystery I am not prepared to explore.

Bianca wonders whether Erica is hurt, too, since Lena lied to her as well.

Yeah, but Bianca, your mother didn't have sex with her and, as much as we can all be grateful for that, it's a whole different can of betrayal.

Erica plays Concerned Mother and says she is oh so glad Bianca figured out Lena's agenda before "it was too late, before she could really hurt you."

Memo to Erica: Bianca is already hurt.

Bianca: "You don't get it mom: I love her. She already hurt me."

Bianca, be quiet: you’re interrupting.

Michael's Place - Lena wants to be certain B******Michael will leave her SecretPoliceMother and her filthy past alone, but Michael is reneging on his promises again.

Lena: "What do you mean what happens to my mother is up to me? I've done everything you wanted: I betrayed Bianca, I put my personal life on the line, I risked everything for this. What more can you possibly want from me?"

OK, look: Lena is not fresh off the boat: she can speak English just fine, so please stop making her utter grotesque lines filled with grammatical inconsistencies: it's grating my nerves. Leave that for those for whom English is a native language. Thank you.

Michael: "I don't know, you have so many talents to choose from. I should know: I taught you most of them."
Lena: "You're disgusting."

Who am I to argue? Michael, from now on you shall be known as DisgustingMichael. Yes, it's a promotion.

Michael: "You and I were a good team till you sacrificed us for that little pigeon you call your lover."
Lena: "Leave Bianca out of this. You and I are over."
Michael: "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that."

I'll give you extra points for this entire exchange Lena: you're a good girlfriend, lying and cheating aside. Well, really: lying aside only, 'cause you have not cheated on Bianca. In fact, it occurs to me that, technically, you've cheated on Michael. Ordinarily, I'd peg you as a tramp, but...eh: Michael is disgusting.

Erica's Penthouse - Bianca worries her mother has invited Lena for dinner; once assured that it's not the case, Bianca says she wants to handle Lena herself. U-huh. Yes, Bianca: you do that.

Bianca: I want to fight this battle myself. After all, you already got what you wanted."
Erica: "You think this is what I wanted? To see you in so much pain?"
Bianca: "You didn't want me to be with Lena. Or with anybody else for that matter."

Yeah, I didn't think PFLAG Erica was too convincing, either.

Erica: "That's just not fair. I mean, yes, I had my reservations about Lena..."
Bianca: "And I didn't listen because I didn't want you to be right. Do you know how hard it was for me to hear this from Kendall of all people?"
Erica: "Honey, Kendall was just trying to look out for you, really. I mean, Michael Cambias and Lena were in on this together: they played both of you."
Bianca: "Please, just don't compare me to Kendall."

Yes, because, in our downfall, we still want to be flying higher than everyone else. Come on Bianca: you're better than this!

Bianca: "Wait a minute, you invited her here? To have dinner with us?"

Oh, someone's at the door: guess who's coming to dinner? Kendall! Aww, it's a family reunion.

Somebody's House, Somebody's Yacht, Fusion - Yeah, I still don't know what's going on and I still don't care. I go race my frog while this plays out.

Michael's Place - Lena and Michael are attempting to out-Prima Donna each other.

Lena: "If you feel like celebrating, call Kendall."
Michael: "Maybe I'm in the mood for something else."
Lena: "What do you want me to do, find you a new playmate?"
Michael: "Well, you do seem to have a way with the ladies."
Lena: "I'm not your pimp."

I believe this is a pregnant pause. Wonder how it ever got to be called that.

Lena: "You're not serious."
Michael: "Do I look like I'm not serious?"

Well, Micky: it's difficult to take a blowhard like you seriously.

Erica's Penthouse - Yes, they're still bickering.

Erica: "Bianca, I know this is unexpected but..."
Bianca: "No, no, this is unreal: I'm not sticking around for it."

Time for a Cane-Montgomery huddle. There they go, off to the...wall, not even the corner. And they speak, but don't whisper. How does this happen on TV exactly? Is there a dampening field somewhere that allows for intimate, private conversation not 30 feet away from another person?

Bianca: "What is she doing here?"
Erica: "She is part of this."
Bianca: "No, she is the reason for this."
Erica: "Now you listen to me: Michael Cambias and Lena came after each of us separately, and we were vulnerable. But together, together, they can't hurt us anymore."
Kendall: "Bianca, Erica's right."

Ok, I get it now: it's both 'the huddle' and 'Ya-Ya Sisterhood.'

And they all sit. Aww, family portrait. Bianca and Kendall bond over betrayal - and it's cool, except that DisgustingMichael really is a slime ball: I'm not so sure about Lena.

Michael's Place - Daddy called and Michael whimpered. Lena decides she really is Dr. Phil and proceeds to psychoanalyze him. She posits Michael cares about what his father thinks of him and that he's going to extremes to make him proud.

Does all of Pine Valley have parental issues? Or is that a stupid question, considering the incestuous nature of it all?

Lena: "Look at you: you're going to extremes to protect his legacy. Because you love him."
Michael: "In the same way that you whore yourself out to save your mother, because you love her?"

Oh, you poor, pathetic child: what do you think you're doing Michael, sleeping around to spread happiness and joy?

Erica's Penthouse - Bianca wants to handle Lena her own way. I swear to you, those are her words. Kendall disagrees, but Bianca is disturbed that her mother and Kendall even discussed her relationship with Lena and wonders why Kendall spoke to her in the first place.

Erica: "I really thought it would be easier for you to hear it from Kendall because every time I talk to you about your relationships, you question my motives."

No, really? I only needed to read one fanfic to figure out just how much you've meddled into Bianca's love life. Shut up, Erica.

Bianca's voice mail chirps and, while she checks it, Erica and Kendall have a moment alone to discuss Kendall's improv at the restaurant, something to do with Dimitri and a letter opener. Since this is a soap, I'll assume Dimitri was one of Erica's husbands and that she assaulted him with that letter opener. Either way, Kendall apologizes for having dredged up the unpleasant past during the fake confrontation at the restaurant. Bianca comes back; the voice mail was from Lena, who wants to see her. Both Erica and Kendall jump in and say: "You have to go see her!"

Yeah, they have this down pat, don't they? Bianca must think she has just entered a Doppelganger zone. As the next insignificant bit at some dude's house plays out, I wonder about the D.Z. and wonder whom Erica would be dating if she were gay. Myrtle might be to campy for Erica; there is Clairvoyant Opal, but she's a bit of a quack. I know! She should go for Anna, who was a spy and is now the Chief of Police, though I doubt Anna would go that low - and I say that having actually never seen Anna on screen. All I know about her I learned from my friend Anne.

Kendall and Erica try to convince Bianca to go see Lena even though they know it won't be easy.

Erica: "Deception never is."

Oh the irony. Listen to your mother Bianca. But, well, in your case, pretending to care about Lena won't be a problem, will it?

Bianca goes...well, I don't know, but she leaves the living room. Kendall wonders whether involving Bianca was a good idea.

Erica: "When I see her in so much pain, it does break my heart. When your child is hurting..."

Yes, good time to stop talking, Erica. Your other daughter, the one behind you, is going through the same thing! And...the h***? Erica's hair sticks out farther than her *ss: that is so wrong.

Erica: "I'm very sorry about what Michael did to you."

Ok, you're getting better at this mother thing. Erica grabs Kendall's hand and...look! That hideous ring she's wearing matches Kendall's nail polish. If this were Xena, or Buffy, yet another show I do not watch, I'd be drawing all sorts of meaningful conclusions from this, but it's not, so I'll leave it at that.

Michael's Place - Lena rebuffs DisgustingMichael one more time and, as he goes off somewhere, Lena sits and makes a call.

Erica's Penthouse - Bianca's cell is ringing. Now we know whom Lena is calling.

Bianca: "Hey you!"
Lena: "Bianca, it's so good to hear your voice. I miss you."

Aww...I miss you too! What? Oh, yeah.

Bianca: "Yeah, I miss you too."
Lena: "Is this a bad time?"
Bianca: "No!"

Lena: "I'm sorry. I was just - feeling overwhelmed. I need to see you. To hold you. Tell me you feel the same. That you want me."

O...oh. Well, aside from the yummy element, this is interesting: Lena is older and, so far, the manipulator, but she needs Bianca to keep her leveled and needs to know Bianca wants her as much as she wants her. And this is good because I think they need a bit more parity, a bit more equality to offset the dynamic set in motion by the age difference.

Bianca: "I want you too."

There is a great reaction shot of Kendall here, as Bianca says the above while her back is turned to her mother and sister. It does suck to know the pain your sister's in and what she'll have to do to keep your and Erica's plan on track.

Lena and Bianca plan to meet at S.O.S. for drinks. Lena's grin is growr! Or, as my friend Shana says, Lena is hot.

Bianca doesn't know if she can go ahead with this.

Bianca: "I hate this. I hate this so much. I'm joining a convent."
Kendall: "Save a veil for me, will ya?"
Erica:" Don't look at me: I've already done that."

Oh god. Just be grateful I am sparing you from all the jokes I could be making right now.

TOMORROW ON AMC: A whole lot of crap, plus: Lena tells Bianca she has been lying to her.

PARODY

This parody is by LizzieT.

Lena parts are indicated in red for those who only want a Lena fix

Over at Fusion, Greenlee wasn't happy with Kendall.
Greenlee: I can't believe you're getting involved with that slug Michael Cambias again. And now baiting Erica in public. What are you thinking?
Kendall: Just wait. You'll see that I know what I'm doing. Now excuse me. I'm have to go to my other storyline - you know, the "Kane women take down Michael" storyline.
Mia: Bye. I need to sit down. I sprained my ankle during my other storyline - you know, the killer in the park who's still out there storyline.
Greenlee: :::sigh:::: Everyone else has another storyline to go to except me.
Simone: Hi everyone. Carlos and I are out of jail.
Carlos: I came straight to see you Greenlee.
Greenlee: Waaahhhhhh!
Simone: Are you going to fire me this time?
Greenlee: No Simone. I think you're a genius. Using Carlos in a commercial was a stroke of brilliance. He's a natural in front of the cameras. :::pause::: OK, just hand me the Emmy now. Anyone who could say that line with a straight face deserves one.
Simone: I have another brilliant idea. We should search for the sexiest men in America - kind of like one of those reality shows.
Greenlee: Wonderful. We'll be just like that ABC show "Are You Hot?" - a joke in the industry.

Later Greenlee watched Carlos' commercial over and over.
Greenlee: I just don't get it. What was the casting director smoking that day?

Meanwhile Lena was at Michael's apartment.
Lena: Now will you leave my mother alone and just let me live my life?
Michael: Of course not. I have to keep proving I'm rotten to the core - or I would be if slugs had a core.
Lena: I think you care for your father and want him to be proud of you.
Michael: Forget it. I intend to throw the old man out of the company as soon as I can.
Lena: Oh well, so much for the idea that you might have at least one redeeming quality.

It was time for dinner at the Penthouse.
Bianca: Where's Uncle Jack?
Erica: He's resting. You know what big babies men are when they're sick. One little bullet to the chest and they think they have to go to bed early. But I invited someone else for dinner.
Kendall: Surprise!
Bianca: I can't believe it.
Kendall: That our mother asked me over here?
Bianca: No, that she asked you for dinner. I doubt either one of you have ever actually eaten a meal.
Erica: I want us all to work together to defeat Michael and Lena.
Bianca: I'll try but it's not easy to decieve someone.
Erica: Of course it is. I do it all the time. Chris actually thought I enjoyed his company.
Bianca: I have a voice mail from Lena. She wants us to get together.
Erica and Kendall: Do it.
Bianca: You two are really getting scary. Are you going to start wearing mother and daughter dresses?
Kendall: I just feel so awful about how Michael treated me.
Erica: It wasn't your fault. ::::hand squeeze::::
Bianca: If you two start singing Kumbaya I'm leaving.

On the yacht Maria and Aidan were out on the deck.
Aidan: So Mowreen, will yew marry me? Oi thought this would be the perfect moment whoil we're iding your little girl from a killer whot wonts tew dew er in. Isn't this romantic?
Maria: Oh Aidan, you're so wonderful.
Maddie: Aaaaaiiiiiiieeeeee!
Maria: Was that Maddie?
Aidan: Oi think so. It moit ave been one of those message board rotters upset that yew wont to marry the likes of me.
Maria: I'm coming Maddie. What's wrong? Why are you hiding in the closet?
Maddie: I saw a spider. Then I heard a couple of lunatics out on the deck banging on doors and ripping off doorknobs.
Maria: That was us.
Maddie: I know. That's why I'm scared. You're supposed to be taking care of me and you can't even open a door without tearing it up. I'm so dead.

Over at Wildwind Edmund patrolled the house with his gun.
Edmund: There you are you #$#$%^^. :::bang::::
Butler: Sorry Mr. Gray. I'll polish the silver more quietly. ::::thud:::::
Derrick: This isn't a good idea Edmund. The killer won't come if he thinks you're expecting him.
Edmund: Freeze you ((**&^^%%. ::::bang:::::
Maid: So I guess you won't be wanting any tea then.::::thud:::::
Derrick: You need a break Edmund. Why don't you go and boink one of the Fusion girls like you usually do in the evenings.

Edmund: Maybe you're right Derrick. I seem to be a little on edge. I'll go see what Melody's up to.
Derrick: Don't you mean Mia?
Edmund: Whatever.
Derrick: Good, he's gone. You should always leave security up to the professional law enforcement people. Nothing ever gets past us. :::thud::::
Flanders: Dis has to be de easiest place in de world to whack people. First de DA, den de local fed, now de only cop in town. De hardest person to whack is a 6 year old kid.

QUOTES

Bianca: You don't get it, Mom. I love her.

Michael: You know, you and I -- we were a good team, until you sacrificed us for that little pigeon you call your lover.

Lena: What do you want me to do, find you a new playmate?
Michael: Well, you do seem to have a way with the ladies.
Lena: I'm not your pimp.

Erica: Michael Cambias and Lena came after each of us separately, and we were vulnerable. But together -- together -- they can't hurt us anymore.

Erica: Bianca, honey, this will fade, I promise.

Lena: We're not so different, you and I.
Michael: You mean in our taste in women?
Lena: No. I'm talking about you and your father.

Michael: The same way that you whored yourself out to save your mother because you love her? No. I am doing this because I want my father's power, his money, and his job, and make it my own. Are we clear?

Erica: Who was that?
Bianca: That was Lena.
Kendall: What did she want?
Bianca: She wants to see me tonight.
Erica: Oh, you have to go to her.
Kendall: You have to go see her.

Kendall: Every time Lena says something to you, you're going to want to scream that you know it's all just a big, fat lie.

Kendall: Maybe this was a bad move, involving Bianca.

Michael: You know, it's not too late for you to share in this with me. You know, this new version of you leaves little to be desired by a man.

Lena: I'm sorry -- I was just feeling overwhelmed. I need to see you, to hold you. Tell me you feel the same -- that you want me.
Bianca: I want you, too.

Bianca: I hate this. I hate this so much. I'm joining a convent.
Kendall: Save a veil for me, will you?
Erica: Don't look at me, I've already done that.

[amc030913a-inc2 starts]
Erica: She is going to pay, both she and Michael Cambias.
Bianca: Good. Because that's all I want.
[amc030913a-inc2 ends]
Edmund: I'm not giving this guy another chance to get at my daughter. We're home now, honey. Come and get me.

***** (clip b) [Bianca tells her mother that she still loves Lena and fears that Erica invited Lena over for dinner (no Lena)]

[amc030513b starts]
Bianca: Well, uncle Jack is finally asleep. Oh, wow. Looks really nice.
Erica: Thank you. Oh, Bianca, I'm so happy that you agreed to stay for dinner. I know, honey. I know how difficult it must've been for you to have to face the truth about Lena’s agenda.
Bianca: Yeah, well, how did you feel about it? I mean, she lied to you, too.
Erica: Oh, I'm just so happy that you found out when you did before it was too late, before she could really hurt you.
Bianca: You don't get it, Mom. I love her. She already hurt me.
Erica: Bianca --
Bianca: Why are there three plate settings? Uncle Jack already ate.
Erica: Because someone is joining us.
Bianca: Really? Who?
Erica: Well, that's a surprise.
Bianca: No, Mom, please tell me you didn’t. You didn't invite Lena over here to ambush her, did you?

***** (clip c) [Michael indirectly threatens Lena's mother again]

[amc030513c starts]
Lena: I'm going to make this quick. I've done everything you wanted. I stole the combination to Erica’s safe from Bianca. I stole Boyd’s formula and I gave it to you. All I want from you now is an assurance that my mother's whereabouts will remain a secret from the government.
Michael: Whatever happens to your mother next is entirely up to you.

***** (clip d) [Michael tells Lena that they are not over yet]

[amc030513d starts]
Lena: What do you mean, what happens to my mother is up to me? I've done everything you wanted. I betrayed Bianca; I put my personal life on the line. I risked everything for this. What more can you possibly want from me?
Michael: Oh, I don't know. You have so many talents to choose from. I should know, I taught you most of them.
Lena: You're disgusting.
Michael: You know, you and I -- we were a good team, until you sacrificed us for that little pigeon you call your lover.
Lena: Leave Bianca out of this.
[Michael sighs]
Lena: You and I are over.
Michael: Oh. Well, I wouldn't be so sure about that.

***** (clip e) [Erica and Bianca discuss Lena and Kendall arrives for dinner (no Lena)]

[amc030513e starts]
Erica: Of course I didn't invite Lena over. I would never do anything like that to you.
Bianca: Good. Don't do anything to her, ok? I want to handle this myself. I mean, after all, she didn't twist you up inside. She didn't make you feel things that aren't real.
Erica: Bianca, look at me. I am not going to let her get away with this.
Bianca: No. I want to fight this battle myself, ok? I mean, after all, you -- you already got what you wanted.
Erica: You think this is what I wanted? To see you in so much pain?
Bianca: Well, you didn't want me to be with Lena, or with anybody else for that matter.
Erica: Honey, that's just not fair. I mean, yes, I had my reservations about Lena.
Bianca: And I wouldn't listen because I didn't want you to be right.
Erica: Bianca --
Bianca: Do you know how hard it was for me to hear this from Kendall of all people?
Erica: Honey, Kendall was just trying to look out for you, really. I mean, Michael Cambias and Lena -- they were in on this together. They played both of you.
Bianca: Yeah, well, please, just don't compare me to Kendall.
[doorbell rings]
Kendall: Hi. I'm sorry I'm late. I know I said I'd be here as soon as I could, but -- Bianca --
Bianca: Wait a minute. You invited her here to have dinner with us?

***** (clip f) [Lena tells Michael she's not his pimp]

[amc030513f starts]
Lena: If you feel like celebrating, call Kendall.
Michael: Well, maybe I'm in the mood for something else, hmm?
Lena: What do you want me to do, find you a new playmate?
Michael: Well, you do seem to have a way with the ladies.
Lena: I'm not your pimp.
Michael: Hmm.
Lena: You're not serious.
Michael: Well, do I look like I’m not serious?
[phone rings]
Michael: What? Oh, father, hi. How are you? No, no, I -- I was -- well, I think you're going to be very pleased. Well, I've accomplished something that even you couldn't pull off.

***** (clip g) [Erica tries to get Bianca and Kendall to bond because they were both used by Lena and Michael (no Lena)]

[amc030513g satrts]
Erica: Bianca, I know that this is unexpected, but --
Bianca: Oh, no, Mom, this is unreal, and I'm not sticking around for it.
Erica: Bianca, wait, please. Kendall, please, come in. Bianca --
Bianca: Mom, what is she doing here?
Erica: Kendall is part of this.
Bianca: No, Mom, Kendall is the reason for this.
Erica: No. Now you listen to me. Michael Cambias and Lena came after each of us separately, and we were vulnerable. But together -- together -- they can't hurt us anymore.
Kendall: Bianca, Erica’s right.
Erica: So why don't we all sit down and try to deal with this rationally. Ok?
Bianca: Fine.
Kendall: Um -- I just -- I just want to say thank you for including me in this. It means a lot to me.
Erica: No need to thank me. Of course you're included in this. I tried to warn you about Michael, you tried to warn Bianca about Lena.
Kendall: No, I only wish I figured that out sooner.
Erica: Believe me, Michael Cambias is a master manipulator.
Kendall: Yeah. I played right into it. He knew if I believed what he was telling me, I’d fall for him. And I did.
Bianca: That's what Lena did to me, when she told me that she loved me.
Erica: Bianca, honey, this will fade, I promise. Lena and Michael -- they tricked you, both of you, and it was low and it was cruel and it was despicable. But you mustn't blame yourselves for what they did to you.
Kendall: They made us feel safe and loved. There's nothing worse than being given that and then having it taken away from you.
Erica: Well, maybe it's time that we give them a taste of their own medicine.
Kendall: How?
Erica: We have an ally that neither one of them is aware of.
Kendall: We do? Who?
Erica: I can't say. But I promise you that we will hurt them and we will hit them harder than either of them have ever done to any of us.

***** (clip h) [Michael demonstrates to Lena how much he hates his father]

[amc030513h starts]
Michael: Nothing is going to go wrong because I'm on top of it. Father, no one has more invested in the future of Cambias Industries than I do. Ok, then. Yes. Good night.
Lena: We're not so different, you and I.
Michael: You mean in our taste in women?
Lena: No. I'm talking about you and your father. You care about him, about what he thinks of you.
Michael: You know, Lena, your sentimentality is amusing, if not completely and entirely misdirected.
Lena: Well, aren't you doing all this to make him proud? Look at you. You're going to extremes to protect his legacy. It's because you love him.
Michael: What, in the same way that you whored yourself out to save your mother because you love her? No. I am doing this because I want my father's power, his money, and his job, and make it my own. Are we clear?

***** (clip i) [Erica and Kendall enlist Bianca in their plan against Michael and Lena (no Lena)]

[amc030513i starts]
Bianca: I mean, why can't I just handle Lena in my own way?
Kendall: Because it's too risky. You'll make it personal and you can't do that.
Erica: Kendall's right.
Bianca: Oh. Please stop saying that.
Kendall: See, I knew you wouldn't be able to do this. This is exactly why I didn't want to tell you about Lena in the first place.
Bianca: So why did you tell me, Kendall?
Erica: Because I asked her to. Because I couldn't stand to see what Lena was doing to you.
Bianca: You know, the fact that you two even discussed this --
Erica: Bianca, please understand. I really thought it would be easier for you to hear it from Kendall because every time I talk about your relationships, you question my motives.
Bianca: So what about that scene at the Valley Inn? Was that your big plan, too?
Erica: Yes. Although Kendall did improvise on her end.
[phone beeps]
Erica: Well, whose phone is that?
Bianca: That's mine. I have a message. I'll be right back.
Kendall: Um -- I don't want to turn this ugly because I think it's going pretty well, but what part of our encounter did I improvise?
Erica: Oh, I don't know. I don't think it was really necessary for you to bring up that horrid incident about Dimitri and the letter opener.
Kendall: Well, I had to say something vicious or Michael would've been suspicious.
Erica: Look, Kendall, that was really a very unpleasant chapter in both our lives. So all I’m saying is that I don't think you needed to exploit it that way.
Kendall: I'm sorry.
Erica: Thank you. Who was that?
Bianca: That was Lena.
Kendall: What did she want?
Bianca: She wants to see me tonight.
Erica: Oh, you have to go to her.
Kendall: You have to go see her.

***** (clip j) [Erica and Kendall coach Bianca how to lie to Lena (no Lena)]

[amc030513j starts]
Kendall: I'm not saying this is going to be easy, Bianca.
Erica: Deception never is.
Kendall: Every time Lena says something to you, you're going to want to scream that you know it's all just a big, fat lie.
Bianca: So that's how it is with Michael?
Kendall: Yes, unfortunately.
Bianca: But doesn't it make you feel -- I mean, to have to pretend that you still care about him so much --
Kendall: I hate it. I hate it. I feel dirty when I do it. I never thought anybody can make me feel so bad about myself.
Erica: Are you sure you're up to this, Bianca?
Bianca: Well, it's the only way our plan is going to work, right?
Erica: Yes.
Bianca: Then I’ll do what I have to do.
[Bianca leaves room]
Kendall: Maybe this was a bad move, involving Bianca.
Erica: When I see her in so much pain, I mean, it really does break my heart. When your child is hurting, you -- well, I just wish I could have shielded her from all of this. I'm very sorry about what Michael did to you.
[Erica holds Kendall's hand; Kendall is overwhelmed by Erica's motherlike actins; Erica comes to her senses and lets go]
Erica: Bianca?

***** (clip k) [Michael makes a mild pass at Lena; Lea calls Bianca telling that she misses Bianca]

[amc030913k starts]
Lena: You're going to throw your own father out of the company which he built?
Michael: Well, the same way that he threw me out years ago because he decided I wasn't worthy of his time or attention. But I am no longer the invisible son, and I’m going to show him that I’m every bit the calculating b****** that he is.
Lena: Hmm. Well, that might actually finally make him proud of you.
Michael: You know, it's not too late for you to share in this with me. You know, this new version of you leaves little to be desired by a man.
[Michael leaves the room; Lena dials a number on her cellphone]

[phone rings]
Erica: Aren't you going to get that?
Kendall: It could be Lena.
[ring]
[ring]
Bianca: Hey, you.
Lena: Bianca, it's so good to hear your voice. I miss you.
Bianca: Yeah, I miss you, too.
Lena: Is this a bad time?
Bianca: No.
Lena: I'm sorry -- I was just feeling overwhelmed. I need to see you, to hold you. Tell me you feel the same -- that you want me.
Bianca: I want you, too.

***** (clip l) [Bianca agrees to meet Lena at SOS]

[amc030913l starts]
Lena: When can you get away?
Bianca: Soon.
Lena: Well, how about drinks?
Bianca: Sure. How about S.O.S. in about an hour?
Lena: Oh, that's perfect.
Bianca: Great. See you there. [Hangs up] I don't know if I can do this. I mean, am I -- am I just supposed to -- to sit there across from her?
Kendall: Yeah. You just do it.
Bianca: I hate this. I hate this so much. I'm joining a convent.
Kendall: Save a veil for me, will you?
Erica: Don't look at me, I've already done that. I'd like to propose a toast. To the downfalls of Michael Cambias and Lena Kundera, and the women who will make it happen. May it be fast, just, and unforgettable.

***** (clip m) [Next on AMC: Lena tells Bianca she's been lying to her]

On the next "All My Children"
Greenlee: Come with me.
Tad: Why?
Greenlee: I need your help.
Erica: What on earth are you doing in my home?
Reggie: I'm waiting for somebody to show me my room.
[amc030513m-inc starts]
Lena: I've been lying to you.
[amc030513m-inc ends]
Mia: Oh, my God.

The above described clips can also be found on my shared folder on AIM (http://www.aim.com to download). My user name on AIM is kymtaborn. E-mail me with your AIM user name (ktaborn@lightspeed.net) and I will give you access to the shared folder. When you have access, you can right click my user name on your buddy list and then click on get file. That should get you into the shared folder. If you have problems, then tweak your firewall. The downloads are slow because it has to go through the AIM filter AND often there are a lot of people downloading along with you. I apologize for the slow speed but this is the only way that I can distribute the clips at this time.

I am eliciting volunteers to host the clips throughout the web. If you have 5-25megs of space you can lend to this project, please let me know!
