RE-CAPS:

No Lena mention. Sniff.

From About All My Children
http://allmychildren.about.com/cs/recaps/a/bl20040120r.htm

Bianca is baking when she suddenly recalls flashes of her dream, where she frantically ran through doors insisting that she had to find it! Her baking pan falls to the floor with a clatter; Lena hurries to her side, and Maggie asks what happened? She thought baking calmed her down, not made her comatose! Bianca tells them, "I can save my sister-I can save Kendall!" Lena knows she's frightened, but it isn't up to her to save Kendall. Bianca insists it is, if she can prove that Kendall's not the one that killed Michael! Lena wonders if she has some sort of new evidence, and Maggie is confused-she thought this was just anxiety baking for Kendall! Bianca agrees it was, but it cleared her head enough for her to have this flash of last night's dream. When she asks if she believes in dreams, Lena sighs that her dreams stay with her whether she wants them to or not. Bianca questions if it's too many nachos the night before, or does she think dreams have a message? Lena asks if Michael was in her dream? Bianca thinks so although it's not totally clear, but he wasn't the important part; she was looking for something. Maggie calls it classic, and asks if she found it? Bianca explains that's the problem-she has no clue what it is! It's just something out there that she has to find, and this is not like any other dream she's ever had, but she has to find it because she's positive whatever this is, it can help prove that Kendall is not guilty. Maggie thinks it's like her mind blocked it out, but her subconscious is trying to make her pay attention. Lena asks if it's not something she saw, but something she realized was missing?

Bianca agrees that's it, but she doesn't know what wasn't there. Lena thinks she couldn't have seen anything because she was fast asleep at her mother's the night of Michael's murder, but Bianca tells her she wasn't, not the whole night. She did get up in the middle of the night to throw away Reggie's gun; maybe she saw something when she was doing that, or on the way back, "This makes so much sense-this is why I felt I had to stay for Kendall's trial!" She goes on that when she came back from tossing the gun, she saw Reggie fast asleep on the couch and she went to bed; she had no idea that Michael had disappeared that night. If she had known, maybe she would have slept better! Maggie suggests maybe she saw someone on her way or her way back-why doesn't she go back to sleep and try to figure it out? Bianca can't, saying she's too wired. Lena says they can't force her to remember, but Maggie insists that doesn't mean she can't remember; it's obvious that her mind is just trying to protect her. Bianca agrees whatever it is she's looking for could hurt someone else that she loves. Maggie knows that trying to forget is easier than dealing with it. Lena feels she can't take all of this on herself. She knows she loves Kendall, but it's not up to her to save her. Bianca protests she thinks it might be. Lena asks what if, in order to save Kendall, she has to sacrifice someone she loves? Bianca doesn't know, but knows she can't just leave this alone; she knows in her heart and mind that she's meant to figure this out! Maggie thinks the front door to her mind is locked, so they'll have to kick the back door in, "Who are the people that you love?" Lena watches her as Bianca lists her mother, Uncle Jack, David, Myrtle, Kendall, Reggie, Palmer, Opal, Maggie, Boyd and Lena, in no particular order, "Did one of them kill Michael Cambias?" Maggie thinks maybe her mind is torn between the urge to protect that person and save Kendall. As Lena says Bianca shouldn't feel that Kendall's life depends on some silly dream, Bianca slips out the door. Lena and Maggie argue until they realize Bianca's gone; Lena knows she's gone to the courthouse, and hurries out...

As Jackson tells the judge both the defense and the prosecution unanimously accept this panel, the camera pans to the jury box where we see the smiling faces of Ryan, Aidan, Mia, Boyd, Lena, David, Erica, Greenlee and Simone! The judge swears in the panel; Jack thinks they've impaneled a hell of a good jury, and she should be relieved. Kendall looks back at the jury box into the faces of strangers.

Bianca brainstorms her recent dream without her girlfr—er, sister present. She has to settle for Naggie and Lena, the former of which is wearing a hideous bright red kimono for purposes unknown. Binks wonders what it is she should be looking for...

Jury selection gears up. Livia makes her rejections, Tarzan and Exeter make theirs. Kendall’s dream has apparently got the paranoia bug running rampant because she keeps picturing that the jury of her peers are people that she knows and have a bone to pick with her...

ALL GAY RE-CAP

This all gay recap is by C.K..

TODAY ON ALL MY DELUSIONAL CHILDREN:

  • Lena is a dreamer.
  • Maggie is confused.
  • Erica is a neon sign in Jack’s eyes.
  • Bianca declares her love in no particular order.
  • Freud was a liar and a fraud.
  • Fun is out.
  • Boredom is in.

The Set-Up – At the timeshare, Kendall finally wakes from her nightmare. Unfortunately, Ryan is very much real.

At the penthouse – hey, who’s the new drag queen? Oh, wait: that’s Erica.

At Calamity’s, VolderBelly finally pops out. Bianca remembers her dream, the "it" she’s supposed to find and drops her baking sheet. Because the memories! They’re too powerful! And the doors! They were white! And Maggie, what the fuck are you wearing, a dead prostitute’s back-up sheets?

Outside the courtroom, Greenlee acts like a selfish tool. Yeah, no news there.

Calamity Knew How To Use A Lasso – Lena, in a ripped shirt which I’m sure got that way after she and Maggie wrestled for the soap, tells Bianca she’s not the one who’s supposed to "save" Kendall and wonders whether Bianca has any kind of "new evidence" to support her claim that she can help her sister.

Maggie: "I’m – I’m so confused."

Yeah, we know that, Maggie. Go suck on a pacifier.

Bianca: "Do you believe in dreams?"

Bianca, Lena is still wearing the ring: what do you think?

The Courthouse – Outside, Greenlee asks David to help her "break up Ryan and Kendall."

David: "Greenlee, you idiot: I can’t believe you’re falling back in love with that smug side of beef."

Bwah! Oh, come on: they’re made for each other. They’re both so self-absorbed that the worst fight they’d have would be about mirror time.

Inside, Judge Lambert denies the prosecution’s motion for cameras in the courtroom and Livia’s motion to dismiss the charges against Kendall.

Judge Lambert: "That’s always good for a giggle. Denied."

It is, almost as giggle-worthy as Mark Gerigos, the most overexposed and overvalued attorney ever, asking for the same thing in the Peterson case. Maybe if you had danced a gig on top of a car, Mark: it’s working so well for you other client. How’s Wynona?

Calamity Hangs – You know those people? Whose every statement sounds like a question? Even when they tell you their own names? As if they weren’t sure? Those people? They confuse Lena. Hi, Maggie.

Lena: "Whatever it was that wasn’t there, you couldn’t have seen it because, the night of Michael’s murder, you were fast asleep at your mother’s. Right?"

Not exactly. Time to knock Bianca off that pedestal, Lena. Hey, maybe you can get Maggie to step on it and then push her off of it.

Bianca tells Lena that she left the penthouse so that she could dispose of Reggie’s gun and wonders whether she might have seen something – or someone - then.

Bianca: "God, this makes so much sense: this is why I felt I had to stay for Kendall’s trial."

Great, make the stolen baby Jesus weep, Bianca: he thinks you stayed in town because of him!

Lena: "What if it’s true: what if, in order to save Kendall, you have to sacrifice someone that you love?"
Bianca: "I don’t know, but I know that I can’t just leave this alone. I can feel it in my heart and in my mind: I’m meant to figure this out."

Pfft: touched by a Christmas miracle once and everyone becomes a prophet!

Maggie: "The front door to your mind is obviously locked so let’s just kick that door in. Who are the people that you love?"

I dunno, but I think the camera slowly moving to Lena’s face so that I can count her pores and name them might be a clue.

Bianca: "All right. Mom, Myrtle, you, Uncle Jack, David, Kendall, Reggie, Palmer, Opal, Boyd and Lena. In no particular order."

Oh, Lena: stop being surprised by Bianca’s declarations of love for you. After all, she’s told lots of people that she loves you while you were present and could hear it. What else do you need, a direct profession of love? Oh, wait.

While Maggie and Lena bicker about who benefits from Bianca’s memory lapse, she grabs her coat and takes off because she has no patience for this stupid triangle crap, either.

33 – You know what would make the missing priest thing a great story? A sidebar on him as a tinfoil-wielding, mushroom-hating, hearts of palm-eating, flax-loving, alien-fearing fruitcake!

Michael’s Condo – Erica is wearing that hideous studded leather jacket again: there must be a bulldog out there that wants it back.

Bianca tells Erica that she thinks "there is something in [her] mind that could help Kendall" and she’s at the condo to try and find it.

Bianca: "Mom, I love Uncle Jack, but he couldn’t put Michael in prison: how can I be sure that he can keep Kendall out?"

Sure, take away the worst DA ever snark from me, I don’t need it anyway!

The Courthouse – The Punisher must be back at work because I think there are dead dolphins on Kendall’s blouse. Or is that deer?

During the voir dire and after an interminable clue that drops from the editing bay that includes timpani and dissonant, syncopated beats, Kendall imagines that all the prospective jurors are, in fact, people she knows, all of whom portray her in the worst possible light and all of whom think she’s guilty.

Thank god for this little sidebar because, after watching the show since April of 2003 and after yesterday’s nightmare, I really hadn’t understood that Kendall feels like a helpless victim who expects she’ll be betrayed by everyone she loves. Feh.

The Last Scenes – Greenlee tells Mia that Kendall might be pregnant with Aidan’s child. 2+2 is still 7.

At 33, Aidan and Reverend Fred share the foil.

At the condo, Bianca stares at Michael’s belt and remembers "the sound it made when he took it off."

Erica: "This whole place is just evil: the earth should open and swallow it up. I will burn this place down if I have to."
Bianca: "It won’t make the memories leave: nothing you do will. It doesn’t work that way."
Erica: "Then you have to put those memories somewhere else […] where they can’t touch you as often."

Burying your memories has done wonders for you, Erica. Are you joking? You jump 5 feet in the air every time it rains!

TOMORROW ON ALL MY CHILDREN: Bianca tells Kendall that she might know something about the night Michael disappeared; Ryan and Juan Pablo chat; Maria asks Edmund to squeeze her hand; Jackson proposes.

COMMENTARIES

From regis
I'll never get tired of giggling at Erica's perfectly made-up face as she wakes up.

Hey, who ripped the holes in the shoulders of Lena's top? And more importantly: WHY? Did she get stuck ducking under some barbed wire? Was she trying to slash her wrists but aimed too high? I can't imagine that it was a deliberate fashion choice. Whoever designed that awful idea needs help.

Hello forced awkward moment as Lena sat on the couch with her head down waiting for her name as Bianca reeled off the list of people she loved. Why put Lena last? And then the stupid "in no particular order" line? Ugh, the sad part is that people actually get paid to come up this stuff.

From Black Knight
For all that the murder mystery has definitely dragged on too long, I've enjoyed the character dynamics and all the interweaving plotting throughout. But then I have a love for the byzantine and I enjoy murder mysteries. And more than anything, I care because I want to cheer who did bump the *sscicle off. Good on ya, Killer. Let me take you out for a drink...

Speaking of Lena, were we supposed to be getting a vibe that she doesn't want Binks to go hiring a sherpa to delve into her subconscious because she knows something?

I think first, it was Lena's day to be a red herring (along with Erica), and second, ... I think her nightmare was very much about Michael putting thoughts into her mind that Bianca might have killed him. He knows that Lena didn't shoot him--that business with the gun was kinda perfunctory, because he knows that she already had her murder plan all set up. Lena's actually been floating along pretty happily lately--she's making headway of all kinds with Bianca, who's all but said that they will get back together, she's got a good job, and Erica's being nice to her. The future looks bright. And theeeeeeen up pops First Evil *sscicle, telling her that Bianca belongs to him now and always. Basically indicating that something is lurking that could destroy Bianca, and thus Lena's happiness. I agree with what boris said about Lena having Bianca up on a pedestal--I don't think she'd ever come to the conclusion that Bianca might have killed Michael on her own, especially since she's seen Bianca's reaction to Kendall being arrested, but I do think she'd come to it with some prodding, especially once she figured out that Binks might not remember. She isn't dumb.

Maggie of course has been a b**** right along, but Lena's snarkiness is getting blunter now. "Amateur Freud"? Bwah! I snickered at Bianca walking out while Lena and Maggie were arguing. It's like I've been saying, this is why AMC has the triangle on "simmer" instead of steaming ahead with it. Bianca simply doesn't give a shit right now about anything other than her sister's murder trial and her pregnancy. If Maggie went and confessed her feelings now, Bianca'd probably be like, "My sister's on trial for murder and you want me to choose between you and Lena?! Find a stepladder and get over yourself!" And notice how quickly Maggie is jumping to embrace the idea that Lena might be the killer. First, it gets Lena out of the way. Second, it means Binks didn't do it. I think Maggie's been concerned about the latter because there was something that made her try to get Bianca to leave for Europe the very next day after Michael's disappearance.

So Bianca can remember the sound Michael's belt made when he took it off? I have a feeling that's going to come into play. He probably took it off while fighting with Kendall and a gun-toting Bianca heard and freaked.

From Mystic
Re: Lena's snarkiness is getting blunter now.

Word. Lena was in no mood for Maggie's bulls*** today. Those two have one h*** of a catfight waiting in the wings. Lena shocked me today, man. It was kinda funny to watch. Lena and Mags were one step away from out and out scratching each others eyes out and Bianca didn't hear a word of it. Hee! I can imagine Lena and Mag's dislike steadily escalating while Binks is blissfully oblivious. Then, after the trial, Bianca will have a nice explosion waiting for her. Hee squared! Oh, please accept some props on the prediction that Bianca will find herself living with two people. Lena ain't budging. (snicker) You stake that claim, HPF!

Today gave me whiplash. I thought "Aha! Lena knows!" but.....no. Then I was convinced Maggie knows but then why would she try to help Binky remember? After that, I was all "Aha! Erica knows!" only to realize I had absolutely nothing to base that on. Can't wait to see Kendall's reaction tomorrow. Brainstorming can be used to sidetrack people, right? ;)

Re: Bianca remembering the sound Michael's belt made when he took it off.

(weeps) That was sad. I don't think I'm emotionally ready to learn anymore Voldemort details. But, since I'm not, your spec will probably come about just to torment me. B*******.

From Black Knight
Lena's fear - and regret - is that she could not protect Bianca from Michael: I took *sshat's taunts to refer to that and, possibly, to the baby.

The reason for my broader speculation is because Michael made such a point of reinforcing that Bianca belongs to him always. He's dead. He raped her once. Yes, it was devastating. Yes, Bianca's still recovering, but she is recovering. She's laughing and dancing with Lena. There's really no reason for Lena to be worrying at this point about whether Bianca is Michael's forever--unless, of course, she's thinking about the baby there. Now Lena has said that babies are about love and that she's not bothered by the paternity. It'd be interesting if it turned out that she's lying, but I don't think she is. I think First Evil Michael very much wanted Lena to realize that Bianca's still in danger, because she killed Michael. And perhaps that's where regret would once again enter the picture for Lena--she tried to kill Michael, but her plot was a time-delayed one. Michael was shot before he could take the poisoned pills. And Lena had a gun, but she couldn't bring herself to shoot him. We saw her hand shaking in the nightmare, plus he called her a coward. It's interesting that the whole first segment of Lena's nightmare dealt with her own attempt at murder, that didn't come off as she'd hoped. Someone, probably Bianca, shot Michael first. In Lena's mind, that may well qualify as her having f***** up once again.

... Just how long until Lena moves the toothbrush in, I wonder? I can just see her and Maggie fighting over everything in sight while oblivious Bianca keeps rushing to her lov--er, sister's side. Hmmm...just who are really the oblivious ones here?

... it's interesting that Bianca's talking about [the rape] more, at least to Erica. That's the second time in two weeks that she's told Erica something about the night of Voldemort. Hmmmmm. If she's starting to feel more comfortable with talking to her mother about it, she may be approaching the point where she's ready to talk with Lena about it. But if Bianca finds out about the suicide attempt, OTOH, I can see her deciding it'd be best not to upset Lena with additional details of Voldemort.

From Mystic
... if Bianca finds out about the suicide attempt, OTOH, I can see her deciding it'd be best not to upset Lena with additional details of Voldemort.

... as much as they deeply need to talk about it, I don't know that they ever really will. I think that 'Lianca' is really another word for 'communication issues'. Between Lena's very sweet, but ultimately stunting, habit of cutting Binks off with reassurances every time Bianca tries to talk and both of them 'protecting' each other to death, they'll never get anything sorted out. Plus, it's gotta be a b**** even approaching the subject matter for both of them. Can they sign up for joint therapy even though they are in couple's limbo?

From Black Knight
Re: I think that 'Lianca' is really another word for 'communication issues'.

It's almost as if they communicate best when they're broken up and fighting. For one thing, it's the only time Lena ever brings up issues herself. The rest of the time, it is left entirely up to Bianca to decide how open she's going to be and how much she's going to push Lena to be open, which given her liking for mysterious women and her desire for them to trust her, is "not near enough". Bianca always wants her shady girlfriends to come to her when they've decided that they can trust her enough to open up, so she doesn't push them until she absolutely has to, which bit her in the a** with Frankie and it bit her in the a** with Lena. At some point you'd think she'd learn, but I also think that it adds an interesting dimension to the character, because Bianca actually has that policy with everyone. For instance, this murder mystery. Binks knew that David and Erica were faking their love affair, but she let it slide until Kendall was arrested, at which point she showed up at Erica's and made it crystal clear she knew that they were faking and demanded to know what they were hiding. Or, Bianca has asked Kendall periodically about whether she really married Michael, again until Kendall was arrested, because her entire defense hinges on her having married Michael. So now Binks is leaving it alone.

Silver Kane
I hope Bianca has a ton of insurance on the studio, because between the gas leak explosion and the explosion that's about to come when Lena and Maggie do finally have it out entirely (not to mention whatever scenery chewing Erica will do when she finds out about the Kinks lovechild), all the repairs have got to be expensive. Good luck getting your deposit back, Binks!

OMG, I would do pay-per-view to witness this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a non-violent person but when Maggie rags on Lena, I just want Lena to walk over to her, stare her down then pick her up by what god awful outfit Mags might be wearing and toss her across the room. I love the 8 inches Lena has over Mags!!! Of course, Lena is too much a lady to do this unless she was defending her beloved Binks. Lena needs to take the class Greenlee teaches "Ultimate Snarking for Classy Ladies-Putdowns for Beginners". Mary Smythe would also be a good tutor.

I'm sure the HystErica scene won't happen at Binks studio, not enough room for the flailing arms and bobbing head.

From SkiffyPup
... I stole this from Kym at Whoosh, but she'll forgive me, since I let her have everything I ever wrote here:

Bianca: Well, that's what it was, but it cleared my head enough for me to have this flash of last night's dream. Do you believe in dreams?
Lena: I'm afraid my dreams stay with me whether I want them to or not.
Bianca: Right, but, like, are they too many nachos the night before, or do you think that dreams have a message?
Lena: Was -- was Michael in your dream?
Bianca ... your woman is trying to tell you something about her own nightmares .... which are probably much much worse than yours. But you are a selfish tool who USED to think about the people she loves. I hate your selfish sanctimonious ass. I really do. Would it kill you to reassure her that you want to hear her and talk about it after you process your "it"? Tool. TOOL!

Nachos? You're an ***hole, Binks. An ***hole.

Black Knight
It seemed to me that Lena needed to vent. But, Skiffy, in Binky's defense, her mind was elsewhere at the moment.

Remember, Naggie was there. I didn't get the impression that Lena was about to open up, not after her rather disastrous recounting to Maggie of her suicide attempt. There was clearly some pain in Lena's eyes, but she also said it in a reasonably light tone of voice. And, Bianca wasn't thinking about herself, she was thinking about Kendall, who is on trial for her life, after all.

I'm not going to get into a long defense of Bianca, but I do think that she has, with Lena, done her usual thing of worrying about other people more than doing the right thing for herself. I'm not saying she went about it in the right or best way, but she has definitely tried to protect Lena throughout all of this. She's kept secret all the details of Voldemort that would be especially painful to Lena. She didn't let Lena see too much of her in her broken state, knowing how much more that would hurt and guilt Lena. She tried to give Lena her freedom to go find a girlfriend who isn't a mess and can have sex and be in a relationship.

And finally, I seriously doubt Lena's nightmares are as horrific as Bianca's. Bianca gets to relive her rape in her nightmares as well as in her flashbacks when awake. Lena can only imagine what Bianca went through.

From boris
I got Lena's dream comments to indicate "I'm a world-weary person, I boinked a lot of people for bad reasons and I regret it. It bothers me." True, there is some torture there, but it isn't as deep seated as Binky's.

As long as it moves this d*** murder storyline along, I don't care.

From Black Knight
I can't see Bianca pressing the issue while Kendall's trial is ongoing. She has total tunnel vision right now--Lena actually finally lost her temper enough to start fighting with Maggie in front of Bianca and Bianca didn't even notice. She's postponed telling Erica about the pregnancy until after the trial. And so on. I mean, everything that doesn't have to do with Kendall's trial simply has to wait as far as Bianca's concerned. (And I can't even imagine what would happen if Kendall was convicted.) After the trial, it would depend on Maggie's behavior--if it escalated, then yeah, Bianca would eventually confront her. The real question is whether Maggie will wait until the trial's over. I hope she doesn't, because that guarantees she'll get the worst possible reception from Bianca.

And I think I'd go for the purposely annoying route--you know, deliberately develop a few personality quirks that might get me yelled at every now and then.

Hee. Yeah, I've often thought I'd probably do the same. Hopefully on the show, if and when Lianca get back together, Lena will realize she shouldn't always try to be the perfect, sweet girlfriend. I'm sure she can come up with something to annoy Bianca.

PARODY

This parody is by LizzieT.

Yesterday's dream episode lingered on for some Pine Valley residents.

Kendall: I had an awful dream last night.
Ryan: Was I in it?
Kendall: Yes.
Ryan: Was I betraying you?
Kendall: Yes.
Ryan: Was I at least shirtless?
Kendall: No, you were fully clothed.
Ryan: Poor baby. That really was a nightmare wasn't it?

Erica: I had an awful dream last night.
Jack: I did too. Mine was about Michael.
Erica: Mine was too.
Jack: I guess they had to wrap up the last days on his contract somehow.
Erica: I'd better get dressed if I'm going to court today.
Jack: I don't think you should go to court.
Erica: But I always go to court. I have a hissy fit and get threatened with being held in contempt and then I have a bigger hissy fit. It's tradition.
Jack: I know. But if you do that today then what do we have to look forward to in February Sweeps?

Bianca: I'll just flashback to last night's dream while I bake.
Baby: I hope she doesn't expect me to do any baking once I'm born. We can hire people to do that sort of thing.
Bianca::::::crash:::::::
Lena: What happened?
Bianca: I remember that I forgot something.
Lena: What did you forget?
Bianca: I don't remember.
Baby: I can tell you one thing you forgot. Those cookies are still laying on the floor. So much for my chocolate chip fix.
Bianca: I think if I remember what I forgot I can help Kendall but I might have forgotten what I don't remember because it might hurt someone else.
Lena: Then maybe you shouldn't try to remember. It might be too painful.
Maggie: I think she should try to remember. Blocking out memories might lead to serious mental problems in the future.
Lena: And I think she doesn't need to take psychological advice from someone who's idea of fashion is wearing a carpet square around her neck.
Bianca: I have to go. You two are giving me a headache. Besides, I think I can solve the mystery of who killed Michael.
Baby: You'd probably better turn the investigation over to me. This storyline is starting to make Proteus look short and sweet.

Greenlee arrived at the courthouse.
Reporter: As a friend of Kendall Cambias's, what do you think about the case?
Greenlee: I think she gets all the good storylines at my expense. Did you notice I didn't even get a nightmare sequence yesterday and she got two? Is that fair? I say send her to prison and put ME back in the b***** yet vulnerable heroine's seat.
David: What are you doing Greenlee?
Greenlee: I'm not sure. It seems like I'm being written to be just downright unlikeable these days.
David: Tell me about it. You're starting to make me look nice.
Greenlee: I just don't think it's fair. First they pair me with Carlos and we win all the magazine awards for worst soap couple of the year, then I get PFKAJP who's at least cuter but half of the audience can't understand a word he says. I think after all that I deserve Ryan but he's hooked up with Kendall. I'm going to break them up and I don't care what I have to do to accomplish it.
David: So you're going for complete villain status?
Greenlee: If I have to. It's either that or the all you can eat brunch at the Backburner Cafe.

Bianca found Erica at Michael's condo.
Bianca: Mom, what are you doing here?
Erica: Looking like I might be guilty of murder. What are you doing here?
Bianca: Looking like I might be guilty of murder. I'm trying to remember something.
Erica: I don't want you to remember.
Bianca: So which one of us looks guiltier - me who can't remember or you who doesn't want me to?
Baby: I hope it's not either one of them. If Mom's a murderer I'll probably be born in Oakhaven and that's not my idea of a place to see and be seen. If Grandma Erica did it then there goes my chance at a great designer baby wardrobe. And why is this crime scene unlocked anyway? Who's in charge of things around here?

Aidan found the minister who married Kendall and Michael.
Aidan: Ello. Oi'm Eyedan. Oi've come to tawk to yew abowt a wedding whot yew performed for Kendall and that rotter Moichal.
Minister: Fine. But let me do some eccentric schtick with this tin foil first.
Aidan: Blimey! This bloke is daft.
Minister: Daft? I was going more for a Jerry Garcia type of character.
Aidan: Whotever. Can yew urry it up?
Minister: Why? Are the cops closing in on us?
Aidan: No. It's just that there's nothing limer than a bit of umor whot fawls flat.

Jury selection began in the courtoom.
Allan: Your honor, we'd like to postpone the trial until February Sweeps.
Judge: Forget it. The audience is on the verge of rioting as it is. Start picking the jury.
Allen: We excuse juror number 6 - the guy wearing the "I Love Kendall" t-shirt.
Livia: We excuse juror number 9 - the one who brought her own noose.
Allan: I excuse juror number 2 - it's that Lizzie person and you know she won't be impartial.
Justin: Hey, I like her. She's the one who made me a Power Ranger.
Kendall: I think it's time for a fantasy sequence. I'll just imagine my own version of the jury full of my family and friends. That way I'd be sure to get acquitted.

Aidan: Yes, Oi know Kendall. Oi risked me spotted dick for er and whot did she dew in return? Plighed knees-up Mother Brown with Ryan ever chance she got, that's whot.
Greenlee: Kendall, Kendall, Kendall! It's always all about Kendall! Maybe if she's rotting in jail it can go back to being all about Greenlee, Greenlee, Greenlee again.
Boyd: I did everything for her, everything I tell you. And did it make her love me?
Kendall: Of course I loved you Billy.....Boyd! I meant Boyd! Really, I knew it was Boyd, I promise!
Boyd: I'd be happy to serve on the jury.
Ryan: Put me on there too. I get seasick just trying to keep up with if it's an "I trust Ryan" day or not. Besides, if there's a hung jury I can rip off my shirt.
Judge: How would that help resolve things?
Ryan: It couldn't hurt.
Erica: I'll serve on the jury too. Kendall's been such an ungrateful daughter - always whining and accusing me of not understanding her. Talk about high maintenance! I can't imagine where she gets it.
Mia: I can be on the jury. I know all about juries. I've watched every episode of Survivor. I'll vote Kendall right out of the tribe.
Kendall: ::::sigh::::Maybe I should start planning my shroud now.

LENAVERSE

By the time Bianca got to her gerbil from the third grade, Lena began to get nervous.

While Lena anxiously awaits to hear her name spoken by her beloved ...

When Pine Valley's Finest says jury of your peers, they mean a jury of your peers...whether you want it or not!

... Kendall daydreams that Lena is on her jury.

QUOTES

Lena: I'm afraid my dreams stay with me whether I want them to or not.

Maggie: Maybe it isn't something you saw. It's something that you expected to see but didn't. And it's like your mind blocked it out but your subconscious -- it's like it's trying to make you pay attention.
Bianca: Ok, we've been friends way too long. I understood everything you just said.

Lena: Look, Bianca, you can't take all of this on yourself. I know you love kendall, but it's not up to you to save her.
Bianca: Yeah, but that's just it. I think it might be.

Maggie: Well, the front door to your mind is obviously locked, so let's just kick the back door in. Who are the people that you love?
Bianca: All right -- mom, Myrtle, you, Uncle Jack, David, Kendall, Reggie, Palmer, Opal, Boyd, and Lena. In no particular order.

Alan: Do you feel you could judge her fairly?
Greenlee: If fair means I get to flip the switch at her execution, then fair it is.

Alan: Move to excuse this juror, your honor. Residual affection for the murderer is evident despite her heartless abuse of his feelings.

Livia: Ms. Saunders, you're confident you can be completely objective in this case?
Mia: Absolutely. I'm simply an observer, but I observed as Kendall devoured Aidan like an all-you-can-eat buffet and then picked her teeth with his bones. And contrary to previous claims, she didn't pay the tab, let alone leave a tip.

TRANSCRIPT

Unverified in non-clip parts

***** (clip a) [Bianca has a flashback to her nightmare (Lena)]

Bianca: I have to find it. Just have to look and look and look and find it. I just have to find it.
[ac040120a-inc2 starts]
[Cookie sheet crashes]
Lena: Oh.
Bianca: I can't believe this.
Maggie: Bianca, what happened? I thought -- I thought baking calmed you down, not made you comatose. What's wrong? Did you get burned? Put your fingers up to your earlobes --
bianca: I can save my sister. I can save Kendall.

***** (clip b) [Bianca thinks that the dream was trying to tell her something about the murder (Lena)]

[amc040120b starts]
Lena: Hey, listen, I know you're frightened, but it isn't up to you to save Kendall.
Bianca: It is if I can prove that Kendall's not the one that killed Michael.
Lena: What, you have some sort of new evidence? Where did you get it? I mean, how?
Maggie: I'm so confused. I thought this was just anxiety baking for Kendall.
Bianca: I think so. I don't know. I'm not sure. It wasn't totally clear, but he wasn't the important part. I was looking for something.
Maggie: Classic. Did you find it?
Bianca: No. That's the problem. I have no clue what it is. It's just something out there that I have to find. This is not like any other dream I've ever had. Look --
Lena: You have goose pimples just from talking about it.
Maggie: Ok, and you have no idea what this it could be?
Bianca: No. No, but I do know that I have to find it because I'm positive that whatever this is can help prove that Kendall is not guilty.

***** (clip c) [Maggie and Lena try to help Bianca figure out what the dream was telling Bianca]

[amc040120c starts]
Maggie: Maybe it isn't something you saw. It's something that you expected to see but didn't. And it's like your mind blocked it out but your subconscious -- it's like it's trying to make you pay attention.
Bianca: Ok, we've been friends way too long. I understood everything you just said.
Lena: I didn't. So this isn't something that you saw, just something that you realized was missing?
Bianca: Exactly. The problem is that I don't know what it is that wasn't there.
Lena: Ok, well, whatever it was that you -- that wasn't there, you couldn't have seen it because the night of Michael's murder, you were fast asleep at your mother's. Right?
Bianca: Well, no, not the whole night. I did get up in the middle of the night to throw away reggie's gun. Maybe I saw something while I was doing that or on the way back or something. I don't know. God, this makes so much sense. This is why I felt I had to stay for Kendall's trial.

***** (clip d) [Bianca is determined to remember what she cannot remember (Lena)]

[amc040120d starts]
Bianca: All right, when I came back from tossing the gun, I saw reggie fast asleep on the couch, and I went to bed. I had no idea that Michael had disappeared that night. If I had known, maybe I would have slept better. Maybe not.
Maggie: Or, you know, maybe you saw someone on your way or on your way back or in between, even. Why don't you go back to sleep and try to figure it out?
Bianca: No way. I'm too wired.
Maggie: I know there's a way to figure this out. Let me think.
Lena: If she can't remember, we can't force her.
Maggie: That doesn't mean that she can't remember. I mean, it's obvious her mind is just trying to protect her.
Bianca: Right. Because maybe whatever it is I'm looking for could hurt someone else that I love.
Maggie: A clue to the person who killed Michael Cambias. I mean, it's easier -- easier to forget than to deal with it.
Lena: Look, Bianca, you can't take all of this on yourself. I know you love kendall, but it's not up to you to save her.
Bianca: Yeah, but that's just it. I think it might be.
Lena: Well, what if it's true? What if in order to save Kendall, you do have to sacrifice someone that you love?
Bianca: I don't know. But I know that I can't just leave this alone. I can feel it in my heart and in my mind. I -- I'll manage to figure this out.
Did one of them kill Michael Cambias?
Maggie: You know, maybe your mind is torn between your urge to protect that person and to try to save Kendall.
Lena: Bianca doesn't need an amateur Freud right now. She shouldn't feel that Kendall's life depends on some silly dream.
Maggie: Excuse me? Or do you feel that you have to do this because you may gain something from all this?
Lena: I'm looking out for Bianca.
Maggie: Or for yourself. Where'd she go?
Lena: The courthouse.
Maggie: That's great.

***** (clip e) [Kendall daydreams that Lena is one of her jurors]

officer: Open up in there.
Jack: Kendall, are you all right?
Kendall: It's all up to them.
Jack: You know, we're going to be going through several rounds of prospective jurors. Same questions, different faces. You don't have to be here for this.
Kendall: No, I'm fine. I'm fine.
Alan: Just a few more questions. Have any of you filed inheritance claims? Mrs. Du pres, do you know the defendant?
Greenlee: Do i ever.
Judge: You can attest to her character?
Greenlee: I detest her character. She convinced me to overlook her personal defects and create a company with her. But once we made it to the top, she turned on me, ripped it away.
Alan: Do you feel you could judge her fairly?
Greenlee: If fair means I get to flip the switch at her execution, then fair it is.
Alan: We accept this juror, your honor.
Kendall: No, they can't do that, can they?
Judge: The defendant will refrain from any further outbursts.
Kendall: I'm sorry, your honor. I just -- I don't think that they --
judge: I will not tell you again.
Livia: Mr. Larraby, are you familiar with the defendant?
Boyd: In theory. I did her dirty work on command.
Judge: And was she duly grateful?
Boyd: She gave me a pat on the head and then a kick in the pants. My good friend kendall.
Alan: Move to excuse this juror, your honor. Residual affection for the murderer is evident despite her heartless abuse of his feelings.
Jack: Would you characterize your chances with Kendall Hart as slim or none?
Aidan: Too small to calculate, really. Besides, I'm beyond giving a rat's a**.
Jack: And why do you say that?
Aidan: She's a walking liability. She's damaged goods.
Jack: How exactly did you arrive at that opinion?
Aidan: I don't know. She sees betrayal around every corner. Dump or you shall be dumped. That's what she thinks. She doesn't give a d*** about anybody else but herself, and she only trusts one person, which is Ryan Lavery.
Ryan: I object!
Judge: You can't object, Mr. Lavery.
Ryan: Oh. Well, then I'd like it stated for the record that Kendall doesn't trust me, either. A fortune, a fake belly, and three little words aren't enough. What is it going to take, I ask you?
Judge: Ms. Kane, is it true that your daughter is incapable of trust?
Erica: Your honor, I know where this is going, and if it please the court, I'm not having any. Jack, please don't let them put this back on me.
Jack: Erica, Erica, it's -- it's all right. The court knows that the blame lies with Kendall here.
Erica: That's right. I mean, maybe the adoption left a hole in her heart, maybe my later rejections hurt or confused her, but, my god, grow up already. I mean, how many times can you say "my mommy made me do it" without boring even you?
Simone: We would have backed Kendall up, held her hand, but she wouldn't give us a chance. So as far as I'm concerned, god better help her because we're off the clock.
[amc040120e-inc2 starts]
Jack: Your honor, both the defense and the prosecution unanimously accept this panel.
[Lena seen in the jury box]
[am040120e-inc2 ends]
Judge: You'll render your verdict only on the evidence introduced and in accordance with the instructions of this court, so help you god.
Jack: Well, I think we've impaneled a h*** of a good jury here and you should be relieved.
