Xena: Warrior Princess Third Season DVD Set

Subject: Xena S3 DVD

Just finished watching the third season DVD set, but it wasn't until the end that I found what I was kind of expecting during some of the Video Commentaries -- a tribute to Kevin Smith. (Throughout all the commentaries everyone referred to him in the present.) But it would have been even nicer if Lucy and Renee could have been included.

Hudson Leick even redeemed herself in my eyes with the kind things she said about him. I say "redeemed" because I was much disappointed with her commentaries on Sacrifice 1 & 2. (It should have been done by Lucy and Renee). She seemed especially bored and uninterested, as if she would have rather been somewhere else, doing anything else.

Overall, it was a really great package. LOVED seeing Lucy and Renee. They both looked so great!!

And, BTW, as for your Q&A in the Sacrifice retrospect -- very enjoyable. And it was nice to finally have a face to go with the name.

I insisted on a tribute to Kevin Smith. Smith was more than generous to Whoosh and the fans. He was the first "A" cast member of the show to agree to be interviewed by Whoosh! when we were just starting out, and he continued being interviewed by us quite a few times thereafter. He visited the website often and took the time to comment with us about what he liked about the page (he said he always went to the site for each issue to read the alt tags first...he thought they were funny). He was always accessible and never condescending and I have never heard any bad reports about him from fans. He really stood out among the other people connected with the show especially the actors. We at Whoosh! felt like we lost a good friend when he died. If I was going to be able to get anything on that DVD set, it was going to be something about Kevin and how important he was to the show and how great a person he was.

Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them

Ms. Good indicated that you were partially responsible for all the very nice interviews in the season 3 videos of Xena. I just wanted to thank you for doing that and making it an awesome set. I hope that by season six they really go all out and have a whole lot of extras, although I can safely say I would be just as happy if they equaled this set.

Again, thank you for your hard work it is truly appreciated.

That is true. I also helped with the layout and the decisions which episodes had what and what extras there would be.

Thank you for your kind words and for writing.
