and REMEMBER NOTHING (26/202) as Krykus and
THE XENA SCROLLS (34/210) as John Smythe |
| From ORPHAN OF WAR:
DAGNINE
Everything-- all the strength and discipline of
Ixion's creation's right here. With this, I'll
sweep the world like a rampaging wind. I'll kill
Xena. I'll kill Hercules. I'll take Athens! I've
got so much to do. I'll have to make a list.
[Kisses stone]
SEE'ER
Sir-- if this doesn't work--
DAGNINE
If this doesn't work-- one of you gets my tent,
the other gets my horse.
Dagnine was once a soldier in Xena's army. Their paths cross
again when Xena learns Dagnine is after the Ixion Stone,
which will make him into Ixion's evil centaur. The only
problem is Dagnine is such a goofball, it's hard to take him
seriously. He was probably roomies with Zagreus at Warrior
U. [SR]
Dagnine is a former lieutenant in Xena's army when she was
still with Borias. He is a wild-haired psycho who has
returned to Centaur territory to retrieve a potent weapon.
It is the Ixion stone, created by the Father of the Centaurs
to hold all of the Centaur evil. By drinking the elixir from
the stone, he would become that evil Centaur and be strong
enough to conquer the world, which is Dagnine's ambition. He
has a small army of men, but they cannot yet defeat the
Centaurs. He knows that Xena has come to stop him. He
discovers that Xena has a son in the Centaur village and
promptly kidnaps him. Later, Xena's rescue of her son
provides Dagnine with the opportunity to sieze the stone. He
turns into the monster Centaur, and he and his army proceed
to attack the Centaur village. Xena finally stops him for
good by firing a crossbow bolt the size of a telephone pole
into his chest. [ND] |

Dagon | GIANT KILLER (27/203)
Played by Calvin Tuteao [who also played the Doge of Messini in
HERE SHE COMES, MISS AMPHIPOLIS] |
| Leader of the Philistine army.
Dagon got Goliath to fight the Isrealites by telling Goliath
that he had information about Gareth, the big, bad, and mean
giant who killed Goliath's family. [SR]
Dagon is the leader of the Phillistine army that has come to
conquer the Israelites and King Saul. He has hired the giant
Goliath, a friend of Xena's, to work for him and eliminate
the Israelite threat. He invites Xena and Gabrielle to his
tent as allies, but later almost executes Gabrielle when she
is caught helping David. He thus becomes the enemy of Xena,
who sides with the Israelites against Dagon and Goliath.
Dagon is eventually defeated by the Israelite army after
David kills Goliath. [ND] |

Played by Steve Hall |
|
From THE PRODIGAL:

 |
Darphus | THE GAUNTLET (HTLJ) and UNCHAINED
HEART (HTLJ). Played by Matthew Chamerlain, who also
played Orpheus in GIRLS JUST WANA HAVE FUN (28/204) |
| Bad, bad man. Darphus is the
scar-faced psycho who was the Warlord Xena's lieutenant. He
gave the order to slaughter a whole village, then got the
men to turn on Xena when she saved a baby from the killing.
Xena killed Darphus after he made her run the gauntlet and
took her army. Ares brought Darphus back from the dead in
hopes of killing Hercules. Darphus may have been the first
lieutenant that Xena stopped offering bed privileges to.
Well, we hope he was. Eeeuw. |
 |
Daube, Peter | Played Spiros in THE GAUNTLET (HTLJ) and
Petracles in A FISTFUL OF DINARS (14/114) |
| Selected filmography: The
Last Tattoo (1994). TV Appearances: Hercules:
The Legendary Journeys (1995)
Although Peter Daube has appeared in several Hercules and
Xena episodes as different characters and sometimes extras,
there is little information - actually none that I could
find - on him. He is a talented actor and has portrayed a
variety of characters between the two shows. He was in one
of the Xena introductory eps on Herk, as well as playing
other parts, too. He is a good actor, and apparently fairly
well known in NZ. [RG] |
 |
David | GIANT KILLER (27/203)
Played by Anthony Starr [who also played Mesas in HOOVES
AND HARLOTS] |
| Wimpy dude who killed Goliath.
For some inexplicable reason, Gabrielle found David quite
interesting (she's the only one). After Jonathan was killed,
David assumed his place as the new leader of the Israelites.
[SR]
David is the younger son of King Saul of the Israelites, and
has been captured and imprisoned by the Phillistines along
with his brother Jonathan. Gabrielle attempts to free him
but is herself almost executed by the Phillistine leader,
Dagon, until they are all saved by Xena. Back in Saul's
castle, Xena, David, and Jonathan plot to defeat Dagon and
have Xena kill Goliath by attacking the soft spot on his
forehead. The plan fails when Goliath shows up wearing a
helmet and noseguard. In the battle that follows, Jonathan,
Saul's heir, is killed by Goliath as the Israelites are
forced to retreat. With their future king dead, David must
become the one to slay the giant himself, to assume
leadership of his people. He succeeds, with the help of
Xena, the Israelite army, and the One God. [ND] |

Daylon | ORPHAN OF WAR
Played by Peter Tait |
| One of Kaleipus' loyal centaurs.
Daylon is dedicated to getting Solan back from his
kidnappers and believes that the archers will be able to
kill the evil Ixion stone charmed centaur that was once
Dagnine. When Kaleipus is held by the evil centaur, Daylon
freezes for a split second before giving the command to fire
the arrows. This allows Xena to save Kaleipus. Later, Daylon
is in charge of the ballista which eventual kills
Dagnine. |

(12/112)
Played by Cameron Rhodes/td> |

plots with King Menelaus, but winds up betraying
everyone by running off with Helen himself.
What a filthy dog he turns out to be! But don't worry, Xena
knocks him around a few times and lets him wear Helen's
tiara, before Xena and Helen move on to the next
scene. |

Doge of Messini | HERE SHE COMES...MISS AMPHIPOLIS (35/22).
Played by Calvin Tuteao [who also played Dagon in GIANT
KILLER] |
| One of the sponsors of the Miss
Known World Beauty Pagent. He entered his girlfriend, and
after talking with Gabrielle (the Marquessa), decided to let
Miss Messini decide for herself what she wanted to do (which
was quit the pageant). [SR]
One of a group of warlords brought together by Salmoneus in
an effort to bring peace to an area torn by war. The Doge
has his girlfriend, Miss Messini, entered in the Miss Known
World beauty pageant. She is the first of the contestants to
survive an assassination attempt by Lord Claron, the host of
the competition, who wants to bring war back to the land,
for profit. The Doge would rather be at peace than at war,
so he refrains from violence. He learns to respect his
girlfriend, wholeheartedly supporting her when she decides
to quit the competition on the verge of winning.

Dolas | DREAMWORKER (03/103)
Played by Patrick Smith |
| Dolas and his brother Linius
were the first of Xena's victims. Dolas came to Xena in her
dreamscape to haunt her |
 |
Draco | SINS OF THE PAST (01/101)
and COMEDY OF EROS (46/222). Played by Jay Laga'aia |
| Draco is the baddest, slickest
warlord of all. He has a real sense of style in an utterly
ruthless sort of way. He and Xena go way back, and were once
on intimate terms-Draco has the scar to prove it! In SINS OF
THE PAST (01/101), he discouraged Xena from going straight,
telling her that he had tried it once and nearly been killed
by his father when he tried to return home. Although he is
oh-so-baaaad, he has a sense of honor, as he showed when he
killed his top lieutenant for trying to stab Xena after a
truce had been declared. Xena fell in love with him against
her will in A COMEDY OF EROS (46/222), and Draco
fell for
Gabrielle. Xena persuaded Cupid to leave the spell on Draco,
who now roams the countryside doing good (by his standards,
at least) to prove himself worthy of the Bardster. [CC]
