captive by the Athenians in the fort. Xena uses her pressure
points as a form of torture. Gabrielle witnesses it and is
understandably horrified. Xena does not kill him after all,
even though the Athenians wants him killed. Later, G'Kug is

the Horde has a code which she can use to her
advantage. |

physician who looks down upon Xena's holistic and natural
medicinal solutions. He runs a temple/MASH unit in the

and demonstrates her pratical approach to the medicinal
arts. She convinces his students that the study of medicine
has nothing to do with the gods, but everything to do with
being human. |
 |
Galipan | THE PRICE (44/220)
Played by Mark Perry [who also played Vicerius in
DESTINY] |
| Galipan was the General of the
Athenian army. His regiment was attacked by the Horde. When
some of his men tried to break through to get
reinforcements, they were ambushed and hung on crosses along
the riverbank. Galipan, though mortally wounded, was able to
jump in the river to escape, and was rescued by Gabrielle
and Xena in a canoe, themselves trying to escape the Horde.
Hanging off the side of the boat, he was brought to shore
when another group of Athenian soldiers were able to hold
back the Horde. He was carried into the Athenian fortress,
where he died, after telling his lieutenant Mercer that
"They have to be stopped." His body is later propped up on
the fortress wall as a decoy. [ND] |

Gar | SINS
OF THE PAST (01/101)
Played by David Perrett. Member of Draco's Army |
| Gar, a big hulk of a man, is a
loyal minion of Draco. He aids Draco in the four archer's
demonstration of their abilities. It is apparent that Gar is
either equal to or higher up than Hector in the army's
hierarchy. Unfortunately, after Draco loses his fight with
Xena over the fate of Amphipolis, Gar tries to stab Xena in
the back. Draco kills him with nary a thought, saying, "A
deal's a deal," refering to his and Xena's agreement that
the fight was to be between only the two of them. |
 |
Garel | THE PRICE (44/220)
Played by Tamati Rice |
| An Athenian soldier trying to
defend the fort from the Horde. Garel marvels with Gabrielle
over the Horde's ability to throw axes over 200 yards. He
also tells Gabrielle his conjecture that the Horde word
"kaltaka" is probably their god of war. Garel is also the
first soldier that Xena dresses down for lack of
disclipline. She tells him that he has more to fear from her
than any Horde member. Garel also gets the great pleasure of
informing Gabrielle that Xena wants to use wounded soldiers
in battle. Let's just say, Gabrielle does not take well to
that suggestion. |

Played by Todd Ripon |
| The giant of Biblical fame. An
old friend of Xena's, Goliath is forced to fight against
Xena when his lust for revenge becomes too strong. Gareth,
another giant, killed his family when he was off doing a
favor for Xena. Since then, Xena's been feeling the guilt
and Goliath has been plotting revenge against Gareth. The
Philistines told Goliath that if he helped them subdue the
Israelites, then they would tell him where Gareth was.
Goliath wanted Gareth so bad that he continued fighting
against the Israelites, ignoring Xena's pleas. David finally
killed Goliath by tricking him to take off his helmet and
hitting him in a sensitive area -- a plan concocted by Xena.
Xena finally avenges Goliath and his family by electrocuting
Gareth in A DAY IN THE LIFE (39/215).
